have you shoten both of them
also they are stopping the manufacturing of the shocker in preperation for the nerve and 'new' shocker
price may also be a factor

ok..here the dillio, the shocker is more of a back players gun..its kinda heavy, but you can dish out huge amounts of paint...the impulse, is more of a front to middleman's gun, lighter than the shocker, both in weight and price, it will probably be a better idea to get cuz its more versatile, unless you play back...cuz then you wanna get a shcoker..:D

Actually the shocker is not "a back player's gun". It can be used for any position if the USER is confortable with it.

From what I understand they are giving the Shocker an overhaul both in millin and looks, as well as upgrading some internals I believe. Don't quote me on this it's all third hand knowledge that I hope someone can back or post correct info. The older models are being discontinued, but this is like when the '99s became the 2000 and all that stuff. like when the old imps became the 2k1 imps. Not a complete discontinuation, just discontinuation of older models to make room for the new models. And the guy did say stopping the shocker for the "new" shocker. Just some FYI.

Yuppers, my cap'n plays mid with his shocker, and this often times has him moving to a front position. hey, he can call it a brick on sticks, but he's comfortable with it like that, and he rips with it... it's scary.

Jst try both guns first, see which one has the better feel. One thing you gota take into account though is that the Shocker is a gas hog so your going to need a big tank.

well its still a shocker then just like a 2k1 vert feed cocker is a cocker and a 2k2 vert feed cocker is a cocker they are the same gun just a different model for it

a shocker is characteristaly a back or mid players gun, but u can use it any where, and an imp is an all over gun, because it may nopt have the range it is a lot lighter so u can use it everywhere. i have sen fronts use shockers, but its just odd. all depends on ur money and ur position, andur style

in that case impulse they are more upgradable and can fire faster, they are smaller and lighter. i would take an imp over a shocker.

sorry to strat off topic, but starboarder, u have a new avatar like everyday! it's crazy lol.
I'd say go with an imp cuz they are more upgradeable, so u have more ways to customize it to your liking.Plus there are like 20 different custom imps u can buy with sweet milling, where as most shockers all have the same milling. So, i'd have to say imp just cuz i hate the feel of a shocker, and I don't really think they r anything special for what u pay for it.

Here's something you need to learn. Our personal oppinions should mean **** to you (pardon my french like the swear filter did). We aren't the ones shooting the marker, we aren't the ones spending the money on it, we aren't the ones that have to live with your decision.
You are.
You want facts, read the FAQ. Do some research.
You want to know about comfort, feel, weight, anything like that, Goto a store and pick it up, feel the trigger, ask to fire it a couple times. Get on the ground like you would be playing with it. I know it looks funny, but wouldn't you rather have a gun that you knew was comfortable when you were doing that 1 1/2 twist up and over the snake to get that guy in the shoe? or would you rather be half way through your move, loose your concentration, fall over backwards, get shot in the neck while your thinking about how uncomfortable the grip feels on the backside.
Just something to think about...
People don't like lasoya because he shoots and angel (he shoots one right?). They think he's one of the best because he makes it look so natural and easy. I bet it's because he's so comfortable with it. However, I've never asked the man one on one if that was the case, and even if I did I'm sure his sponsorship induced responce would be, "It's the most comfortable thing I've ever held." But you get the idea.
Sorry. That was a lot of steam I had to blow off. Flame if you will, I'll only respond to valid arguments and questions, not paniked attacks on my manhood.

but im saying in the new shocker its very different than old shocker and i did say for a 'new' shocker which you know a 2002 autococker is considered new to a 98 cocker
and its not just small things in the new shocker its like moving around of parts and looking different
but its not actually a whole new gun, if thats how you interpereted it
But on the shocker or imp issue, yeah its your PERSONAL feeling as that some peole that i know play bac kand hate the feel of shockers and im sure there are some front players with shockers and people that dont like either imp or shocker
