Good gun.. bad gun?
What are some of the bad points and some of its strong points?
I heard the stock barrel is crap, but It'll be my first gun, so I was thinking it might be crap to experienced players, but it will be fine for me.

I would rather get another spyder. My friend has one and he doesn't think too much about them. he thinks that they don't perform that well. Jammed on him a lot.

yah the COmp 2k is a GREAT starter gun. Crazy upgradability, and looks arent too bad either. has good dependability, and will perform prtyy good out of the box.

What the heck happened to my other post ? Is this a new topic ? I'm kind of jumping to conclusions here, but did a moderator delete it ? It was a joke, not an opinion. If it was deleted, why ? Just because it was a joke ? Can't we say anything (paintball) without it relating (Spyder) directly to the (stock barrel) topic ? My gosh, a message board is about people talking and exchanging information in a friendly manner. A FRIENDLY conversational manner. If your talking to somebody, and he says a little joke, does he get thrown out of the conversation ? Heck no ! These boards are too strict.

--Disregard this if this is not the case, but I've heard others complaining about this happening.

Yes it is a great starting gun, and I agree on the pros that TLplus mentioned. However, many newcomers to the sport hear "Compact2K is the best starting gun" and they go out and buy it immediately without knowing if it fits their style. Im not putting this gun down, im just saying that a little research on other beginning guns wouldnt hurt. Piranha, Avalon, and Tippmann and many other manufacturers make guns suited for beginners, but theyre never looked at because of the hype for the compact 2k. Good luck.

X, I've posted like 3 different topics pretty much about the same thing (Compact 2k, and barrels). So I bet the post you're referring to is in my other one, if not, then I dont know what happened to it.

Thanks for the input guys.

Everybodys right the compact2k is great I got one myself, the other day i was having a shootout against a cocker, and none of us won or lost I tried to get around the side with a smoke bomb and I got shot by someone else, anyway dont listin antirami the comp2k is the best starter gun out there and is totaly upgradable in everyway!

I use a modded spyder compact 2k and I feel that it is a great gun for anyone of any playing ability. This gun has the most upgradibility of any other gun. You can turn this into a electronic gun if you'd like. All you need to do is buy a decent barrel (i use a taso eliminator, works great!), and it is ready to compete with most other guns. I also love it's small size, even though I'm used to handling something of a large size:D, this gun is easy to run around with. I love this gun!!!!

Like everyone is saying it is a pretty good marker. I have one for my back-up. That said, you are correct the barrel is not the greatest. That doesn't mean it MUST be upgraded. But if your are going to an upgrade it should be one of the earlier ones. Both my son and I have a compact2K and something I have noticed that concerns me is the bolt seems to wear down and score the inside of the marker near the feed hole. (Anyone else see this in thier marker?) Other than that I can't think of any reason you would not buy it. But as many poeple have said on this forum, borrow someone marker every kind that you can first. This will be a great value too you in desciding what feels the best for you. What I or the next guy likes is not what is best for you.

I totally agree with you and I'm just stating an opinion so don't freakin' bann me. These boards are way too strict they come up with a place for you too express yourself and then they regulate it so bad I'd think we were communists. Whatever happened to freedom of expression I don'nt think anybody here has infringed on anybody elses rights and these tight rules are a real pain!

I don't know if you all noticed, but there are different categories on this forum...(sarcasm) So if your post gets deleted or moved, it's either in the wrong section, or it's inappropriate.

Spyder compact:

I got the Spyder Compact Deluxe Java edition. It's been great for me out of the box. No broken o-rings, no jams. I shot about 2000 balls through it, none broke, it was like 2 BPS, I think that's pretty good. I'm getting a bottomline and an x-chamber soon also, so it will be shhhhweet :)

Yeah, it didn't happen this time, but others said it happened before. And I didn't get banned for that post or anything. If I did, that would be really screwed up. It wasn't a flame. If nobody ever points out the problems in society, it can never improve. That's why societal satirists throughout history are many of our most highly regarded writers. Mark Twain (lots of stuff), Upton Sinclair (the Jungle), Thomas More (Utopia), etc. Does anybody remember the name of the Mark Twain story where he compares humans to animals ?

What is your problem meason? read the rules!!! If you post in the wrong forum it will be moved to the correct forum, that is not strict, it is just keeping thing organized. If you post a duplicate post it will be closed, that is so there are not 20 of the same topic, IE Spyder Vs. Tippman.
If you post a flame or inapropriate material, it will be deleted. The reason is to keep this forum clean and fun for all visitors.

I am sorry if this site and it's rules do not please you, but if you have a problem with it there is no reason why you have to come to it!

Thanks,
Counterfeit

P.S. X, I have no idea what post you are refering to being deleted. If it was part of a whole thread being deleted that is why it is gone.

We're not talking about anything specific. We're talking about like, in the past, people's jokes have been deleted, etc. I don't have a problem yet. I though my joke post got deleted, but it turns out this was a duplicate topic.
