How often do you need to get your tank tested?

How often do you need to get it tested and how do they do it? one guy looked at my tank once but i dont know what he did.

They test them hydrostatically. To really dumb down the process, fill up the tank and throw it in a pool. If you see air, it fails. Also they have to check the integrity of the tank itself. This is usually done visually. (i.e. no big gashes, bulges, bumbs, etc.)

Each CO2 tank should have a date stamped into it. It can not be legally used after that date, without another certified date stamped into it. (they do that when they check it).

On fiber-wrapped tanks it's every 3yrs and metal tanks every 5 yrs
