Why do people bash Brass Eagle? [Archive]

I would like to know. (Maybe one of the bashers can tell me) I personally got into paintball buy buying a brass eagle talon. I STILL buy paintballs from brass eagle at wal-mart because

1.)they are cheap
2.)They DON'T BREAK in my gun

So what is the deal with people hating brass eagle?

I guess your gun is magical cuz BE paint breaks in my gun and anyone who ive seen use it.

I guess so. You can read my gun below. My gun has only broken like 2 or 3 out of 1000 shots of B.E. paint.

I love BE becuase they bring new players to the game, but i would never use any of there products on my gun. But they are one of those companies you have to have in the sport.

They are great, but i dont see how people can use the rainmaker as a tounament gun..i mean WTF

I am really happy BE came along. if it wasnt for them i would have never gotten into paintball. My 1st gun i got was the taln and a stingray (which personaly, i kinda liked).

be has a reputation of selling short, if they focused on the product instead of gettin $$ then they could put out some respectable guns, with their paint in mind, i use it and broke maybe 2 balls in my stock spyder

there is one thing that they have done that NO ONE in paintbal has ever done! have you seen their field in illinois (outside of chichago) OMG!!!! that has to be THE sweetest freakin feild i have ever seen in my life!! who doesnt dream about playing in there town square??!!? and a ruined city! and a whole bunch'o'other fields too.

i think they give paintball more publicity for new players. the first gun and thought about paintball i had was because i saw some BE stuff at walmart (or sum place like that i dont remember) so i went to my local shop, researched on the internet, and got a spyder shutter, NOW I LOVE PAINTBALL!!!! BUT WHO DOESNT!?!?

Yea, Venom, same thing happened to me. My friend was taken me paintballing and told me to go to Sports Authority to get some paint, and I started looking at the BE stuff. It looked cool, and it helped get me interested. BE is like those cheap tennis racquets that you get 6 yr olds. They look cool and get people interested in a sport. BE has their niche.

I bought a Brass Eagle Stingray for my first gun and it broke within 24 hours. So then I went back and got a Raptor. It lasted for two weeks, and in that time I sold it to my brother so it was his problem when it broke. He took it back and got a cheapo Spyder Sonix, but has not had a problem with it yet. Also Brass Eagle paint is super cheap. Everyone I bought it, the solid silver colorded shells were so thin I could see the paint through them. I have yet to buy a box of BE paint without a broken ball in it.

yea it's true they dont' make the greatest paintball stuff in the world. but like someone else said, BE brings a lot of new paintballers to the sport. you guys want to see paintball get bigger? on tv? more exposure? well BE is helping to do it.

BE does suck, but I give em credit. they started my paintball experience, and now im hooked.

AllOleander i never had a BE gun so not everyone is introduced to paintball through BE i didn't even know about BE until i started playin wit my first gun a Spyder TL Plus. BE guns are starter intro guns but there products suck, they cheap. There paint is cheap but it breaks in guns I don't think BE will ever go out of business because alot of newbies get there first guns from BE but not everyone.

I wasn't introduced to paintball from BE, it was a rental VM-68.

OK OK! Not EVERYONE was introduced to paintball, but if you ask a lot of people, the majority will say B.E. turned on newbies.

my cousin and i were rideinon my 4 wheeler shooting cows when he droped the gun ad we ran over it. it was a clear one so we could see all kinda dirt in it, and it cracked it down the middle so i stuck some duck tape over the crack and we went back to shooting dirt and all.

People bash on BE because people are stoopid and ignorant...
they dont realize that Brass Eagle is the biggest company of paintball making...! They own JT AND viewloader..I mean if they were such a crapy company why in the world would they own the two BEST companies in the paintball industry?? I mean who dosent own a JT mask and a Viewloader hopper??
Then people pretend to play of that Brass Eagle dosent make Viewloader stuff when there is a HUGE Brass Eagle logo on their stuff! I mean I think that Brass Eagle needs more support and respect from the paintball players all over the world...instead of putting down Brass Eagle we should incourage it to become a bigger company that it already is....and YES my first gun was a Brass Eagle gun (Avenger)

i think the talon is better than the em1. i saw a guy and his em1 was suckin it up it wouldnt even shoot, and he had a freak and every thing. a dude wit a talon could smeared his butt all over the place. :)

Because people are freaks and they feel like they aren't a "HARDCORE" paintballer if they use the cheap stuff. They want to be a bad *** that brags about their equipment that they spend thousands of dollars on. That's too bad for all of you "HARDCORE" paintballers because I spent less than $175 on mine, and I have alot more money than you do for other things!
