ok i know the iso mod helps effeciency and consistancy but how much? i really dont care much about effeciency but what about consistancy? will i see a noticable difference while playing? i would also really like some numbers of consistancy before and after the iso mod was installed. i just wanna know before i spend about $50 on it (i need a new foregrip)
also now that im thinking of it i could just tap my valve cap instead of getting a new foregrip right? how hard would that be? i just get a tap and make a threaded hole through the front of the valve cap right?
my setup will be a stock imp with bottomline maxflo, ND equalizer, ND ti pull pin, and rat hole brass hammer

iso mod is BETTER then nothing, and its the cheapest air mod for the impulse......
as for efficency and consistancy, who knows, its different among differnt impulses, and i think FOM said "no 2 impulses are the same" or somthing like that... or get the same results :eyes: - or somthing? :eyes:
k, well, maybe that, yah, k.......

Long: Well, tapping stuff isn't difficult, it's just time consuming, slow moving, and you really need to do it right the first time with the right tap and everything.
As for ISO mods and seeing differences and stuff. You will notice better consitency. If you have a bolt stick problem, it will be gone. The Mod also ISOlates the airflow between the valve and the selonoid. This is dfferent from a tapeworm which resctricts airflow from going backwards. To understand this more, read here: Skogs fun write up (http://www.pbreview.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=833673#post833673).
DrJ knows a bit about these things and I'm sure when he gets on will tell you all about them.
Short: But yes, you will see a difference and better consistency, as for efficency, maybe a little but not as much as you would see if you stuck a LPR on there too.

ok so the only difference between a lpr and a iso mod is that the lpr gives better effeciency and is adjustable?

well, more or less, yes. :D
But in doing so, you lower selonoid pressure(bolt pressure) and raise valve pressure (giving the increase in efficency, don't need as much air to get the ball rolling so to speak). I am probably going to get a ISO mod when I get my rat, and wait for all these new LPR kits to take shape (resperator, Eclipse, new smart parts LPR?) before I look at the jackhammer as my reg.

i think i will get an lpr because i have a bottomline maxflo and with the impulse threads on the foregrip i would need a new foregrip so the lpr is just a little more and i would rather have that because it looks better and its more fun to tinker with

At the same time Farside is pretty much located in memphis where I'm from and I would like to support them and the EVIL product line. Don't forget, what looks good to you doesn't mean it looks good to everyone. I think the ANS is rather large and looks to mechanical for that electronic gun look. The Respirator is much more sleek and smooth. But that's a different conversation for a different thread.
Sorry for tainting your thread with my own off-topic oppinions.

Yha, always a good idea to support local business's. And yes I do agree it does look mighty sleek, hmm maybe I should look into this baby because it does look might sexy on this rat.
