I keep seeing this in peoples specs and whatnot. I'm curious about how to do it and what it does. Might be a dumb question, but ya know, i'm just tryin to cram information in my head. Thanks.

it lowers the firctiona dn makes the bolt ride smoother

not just the bolt, it also improves air flow.
