Excal Question

I love excals and hopefully plan on getting one asap but my friend told me that they are not all they are said to be and before you could use them correctly you had to slap like $300 in it for wiring or something i just wanna know if its true

I bought my Excal
added hopper
added drop/air
added a 9v battery

That's it. It rocks! There are no upgrades required. Have the shop you buy it from set the ROF you want and you don't need to worry about the $55 data cable. Personally I am buying the new razor blade trigger from Auction Junkie, but that is personal preference.
