The bolt is pretty quiet on most spyders.

Yeah, I know what your talking about. That annoying clanging sound. Mine does it too. I don't know of any way to get rid of it, though.

you can indeed almost remove the noise of the bolt but it makes your gun look like junk you take poly fill alot like isulator and wrap it around your gun and duct tape it down it sure as heck silences your gun

Yes you can get rid of almost all the bolt noise buy buying a shocktech Delrin Venturi Bolt it is made of a Polymer plastic (they use this material for slider on very heavy funiture so it doesn't scratch/scrape floors) and this material is very strong you cannot gouge it with your finger nail and it is difficult to make more than a surface scratch with a nail this bolt is impregnated with teflon and will not harm your gun internals a very good plus...

Where can one buy these, "bolts?"
Also, are the bolts hard to install on the Shutter?

does this bolt perform any better or any worst than the stock?

from what I understand they work well and are pretty durable they are made By shocktech and are available at this url... they say they work for tl se and one model
of the spyder does not make mention of shutter but I think the part are interchangeable (I THINK) don't quote me on that though

if you get the shocktech deluxe rear cocking delron bolt...it will fit on the shutter....I just got one...also it has a quick strip feature that lets you remove only the bolt with a twist of the cocking rod....it pulls the bolt pin up and out of the striker and just slides out...for a quick on the marker barrel wipe....a great feature....
It's your sear. The thing that the trigger moves to let the striker go down the chamber. Read my post "a must for shutter owners." Do that and you will be wanting your barrel quieter b/c that will be all you hear.
