I had some questions about how to set the thing.
I already read FOM's guide in his FAQ and I had some additional questions.
It says to set the LPR at its maximum output pressure setting. Does that mean I need to turn the ANS Jackhammer's knob all the way in? And does that mean when the knob is turned all the way in, it's output pressure is at 150 psi?
Also, should I install a gauge in the back of the marker so I can monitor what the output pressure is coming from the reg or can I survive without one?
Thanks.

Yes, screwing the Jackhammer knob all the way in should gave you the max. output from JH, which should be 150PSI. You can survive without the gauge in the back of the gun.

ok since there is 2 regs, and one is after the other, the FIRST reg controls the MAX PRESSURE of the second reg, in this case the max flow controls the MAX PRESSURE of the lpr
i think it says set the max flow to 150 and sqrew in the lpr all the way in - if you do that the MAX the lpr could be at is 150 psi (if its above 150 when the max flow is at 150 well then your doing something wierd :eyes: ) - when you are at 150 you set your dwell
after that you turn your max flow to 200 and adjust your lpr to whatever fps you need (you shouldnt be turning it "up") - most likely before you adjust your lpr you will be shooting hot anyway

Ah. that makes a lot of sense. Thank you.
I guess my concern was that without a gauge I could accidentally boost the pressure going to the solenoid to the blowing up level. But that makes sense that the most the LPR could boost the pressure to is the pressure on the bigger Max Flo reg.
Plus, since I had Smart Parts install it, it just occured to me that they probably set everything at the factory.
Thanks again.

Hey Loner,
How'd you like the LPR? I just got my gun back from Smart Parts this week and got the LPR installed. Played with it today for the first time.
I noticed that my shots seemed to travel with a flatter arc. The gun was really efficient. And the LPR keeps the gun really steady. There's no kick anymore. All in all, I'd say it was one of the best improvements that I've gotten on the marker.
Just wondering what you thought.

Too be honest, I don't think I noticed anything.. Maybe I didn't set it up right, or i'm just not a person that would notice anything. Plus I was too tired... friggin parents had a party and didnt fall asleep till 3...

Really, you should have much less kick now with the LPR, which should translate to better precision.

bluenu, i thought the Jackhammers max output pressure was only 150, whether the max flo is set at 150 or 1000 psi. Like no matter what it won't go above 150 psi. Thats what I thought, at least.

Well right after you installed it, did you notice it? Or it was broken in first, then you noticed it?
