How long will paint typically stay "fresh?" Also, is there a difference in brands longevity?

I am just wondering because I ordered some Direct Hit from paintballgeek.com(BTW its great stuff, but it smells funny hehe.) It's 39.77 and they have free shipping until July 4, so I figure I will be able to stock up on a couple cases and subvert the shipping costs.

Thanks guys

Just buy a bunch, 'cause that's really cheap. Paintballs last quite a while, just be sure to store them somewhere cool. Otherwise they might explode and melt.

Also make sure you re-arange the balls so that they dont get dimples. Like shaking the bag or changing bags should do the trick.

How does shaking the bag help with the dimples? Just recirculating the paint in the ball?

Thanks

What happens is the paint settles and if you dont move it, it puts alot of pressure on the same spot over a period of time and forms a dimple(on the ball).

If you've got some extra room in your fridge, you can put the paint in an airtight bag (like a zip-lok) and store it in your fridge (NOT your freezer!). They'll stay fresh for awhile that way; just make sure you rotate the bags every week or so. Take them out of the fridge the night before you use them.

Direct Hit has been getting some bad reviews lately. I'm wondering if the reason that they selling it with free shipping is because the paint is getting old, and they have to get rid of it?

In the reviews on this site. People are starting to say that they're dimpled. No one ever said anything about that before.
