Paintball in school!!!lovers & Haters

my names Tyler i am in 9th grade Me and my friends all love the sport of paintball we think it is the greatest..But for others its boring and a waste of money thats all i hear every day "your wasting all your money on some stupid paintball junk" I get tired of hearin it...A few weeks ago we had to do a project on a power point presetation well i did it on how to play paintball and every body thought it was awsome then we had to do another project on any event on what ever we wanted and I did it on the NPPL ATLANTIC CITY tourney and thats when it happened every body except a few friends said it sucked but the teacher loved it(shes a good teacher and she loves that i am committed to something so great and fun) They said the same thing and they try to dawg on my to et my hopes down and make me quit but i didn't and still today I do paintball projects and I don't listen to neagtive comments...Some teachers down get it even some of them put me down about it i tell them to shut up nad they be quiet which i shouldn't do but if its somethin you like don't let some one try to make you want to quit..stand up to them...lol if anybody else has had somethin thats even a little bit close to this reply!!!!

Ya, there's a few haters out there, i know a lot of people who say oh you play paintball thats not even a real sport(this commin from the preps who play basketball and soccer). I just tell em to ____ off. Also some of the people find it odd that i carry of pb2x in my back pocket every day.Well mayb that is a little wierd. :|

If I mention paintball at my school these rednecks come over and ask me to go play with them in their woods and say they'll "kick my tail" :eyes: No one in my school plays real paintball, and it's pretty frustraing. When i'm in highschool I have friends that play in tournies and such there, but my friends think I'm just weird and wasting my money.

Ya, I get that a lot. I'm a sophmore in high school and every chance I get to do a project about paintball I take it. There are the jocks and preps who like cockerkid said don't cconsider ita real sport then the rednecks who never palyed and think that they are the greatest at it and the worst is the teachers who put it down everytime you mention it. But overall I play with a pretty big mix of people: jocks, preps, rednecks, punks, you name it.

Here its the opposite, everyone paintballs (not every1's good though) teachers, parents, students, administrators.
We'll have guge parties, mostly woodsball, where it's the highschool vs. the Jr high (bear in mind that the JR. High and highscool are probalby 67 people altogether)

yep, we're talking small, and we're not a private school!
the whole town must have 300 people in it. The high school and the elementary and the Jr High are all in the same building, the elementary make up the bulk of the school, which keeps it alive.

i do paintbal projects all the time in computer class

i did a paper on running paintball field, a resume thing to work at my feild and alot of other stuff

and its also another excuse to be on my fields website all the time:D

People that say that paintball is a waste of money are those same people that havent played at a organized field yet.... interesting :eyes:

i don`t know what my school would do. i better see, next project i`ll do will be on paintball!
no one in my school doesn`t like paintball if they do they`re scared to say. :eyes:

my old school for gr 1- 8 had under 100 people in it(like maybe 80) my high school has 100 in one grade! freaky.

My school sucks. Me and one of my friends got in trouble one day for talking about paintball. I was on Ebay looking for some cheap gear, and the teacher comes up, looks at the screen, and says "What are you looking at?". I said "Im looking at sports equipment". The teacher said "Paintball guns are not sports equipment. Go to the office." I weaseled my way out of it, but that sucked!

You should have just shown your idiot teacher that paintball was listed under, yup you guessed it The "sports equiptment" section. God people are so dumb.

The other day I was in the comuter lab and we were supposed to be doing our algebra crap on boxermath.com and i got so freakin bored and went on to that splatt attack paintball game and started playin it and my teacher came up behind me and was like Tyler what are you doing? get out of that now!!! I kept playin it for a few more mins until she got on my nerves and just cut off the whole computer and stopped workin...but she didn't do anythin i was like NEWB...jsu was like dumbfounded everybody over by me started laughin...it was funny i call every body nebws if they try to put me down about paintball and they get all confused.

Nice post, good for you...but, look down at your keyboard. You see that key above and to the right of the spacebar? It's got a funny looking arrow thingy on it like this (>)? Now....if you hold shift, it makes the funny arrow thingy. If you don't hold shift, it makes what's called a PERIOD.

Use it.

Back in the day, when I was still in highschool, I discovered something that will annoy your teachers to no end. I suggest you take up this practice.

When they see you on some site they deem inappropriate, and tell you to go to the office/get off the computer, calmly (in internet explorer) go to "tools", then to "internet options" and click on "clear history" then click on "delete files."

It works best if they're standing right there when you do this. Resume "real work." Hopefully, they'll tell you to leave again. This gives you the oppourtunity to tell them that you weren't on any paintball site, and in fact, you haven't been on the internet all day. It's obvious that you're lying, but they can't prove it.

In netscape, there is some sort of "group history" or something they can remotly access. I don't reccomend using netscape on a school computer for that reason.

Another thing to do for fun on the school computers is to type, c:\windows\system32\command.com then type: ipconfig

You now know the IP address of that paticular school computer. The server that all the school computers get their internet access through is likely to have an address that is very similar to the one liter there. With that information, and a little skill, you could quite likey do some very interesting things to the internet settings. I was a big fan of setting the proxies to a slightly more "liberal" setting.

You should bear in mind that I hated all my teachers, and didn't care what they thought of me. In fact, I may or may not have let the air out of their tires on occasion as "penance" for disrupting my porn viewing during class time.
