i have recently been getting questions such as "how come pros dont use....." or "I got ..... because the pro team.....uses it"

Let me just say now that it is definately NOT a good idea to buy a product solely because a PRO team uses it...for the most part

A good percentage of the time, Pro and amatuer teams are sponsored by certain companies, so naturally those companies will have their teams use their products.

So many times, a player is using a product because their sponsor gives it to them, NOT becuase they chose it them selves.

Dont get me wrong-Im not saying every sponsored person has horrible gear, but buy a product because it suits you and you like it, not because the team that won the World Cup uses it(just an example)

Pros start out with lower end guns when they first start playing. To get sponsorship they send pics of their team holding trophies that they have won in the amuetar divisions. Sponsors dont pay for everything unless you have a lot of them. With sponsers paying for things like paint and field fees, the pros can buy all the expensive equipment.

Wrongo Piranha. There are VERY few cash sponsorships given out in pball, and only to the best of the best of the best. And even they sometimes choose to have, say, WDP sponsor them. In the event you're REALLY good, WDP makes "signature" guns, like the Lasoya Angel....so while some guys get sponsored, them getting "forced" to use an Angel is about like "forcing" someone to take the Ferrari they're giving you. Of course, some teams don't quite have that option.
I am good freinds with an ex NPPL player at my local field, from Team Extreme named Darren. He's played pro, been sponsored....but what guns does he tote at the field? He LOVES bringing out a Boo-Yaahd minimag, and as for true electros, it's not an Angel, it's a Shocker with HALO.
He plays fierce....I've tagged him a couple times...even a head shot, but the damn thing bounced!
And don't let anyone tell you pro-players are jerks, Darren is the coolest guy I know and is always helping newbs and people with everything from Spyders to Bushy to Shocker problems.
