I looked at several or the latest product reviews on the main page, and so far (that I've checked) it goes back a ways. Some person is putting intentionally lame and pathetic reviews, usually containing some form of racial, ethnic or personal slur. I personally think you should have to sign in, to review products. Anyone can read but to review you must have an account. Just take a look at these pathetic reviews.

We are planning to do that for exactly the reason that is happening now. It's stupid some of the stuff people have been posting. Unfortunately, Andrew is on vacation and will not be able to do so until he gets back. That is a great idea though, and exactly why we plan on doing it. For now, we do our best to sort through the bad review list, but sadly some people get as much kick out of posting bad reviews as listing appropriate reviews as bad. There are literally hundreds of reviews in the bad review section, and maybe 1 in 30 is actually worth deleting. It's very hard but we are doing our best. Thank you for the suggestion

Please understand also that the PBReview Review Sweatshop often employees illiterate children and elderly folk who often times miss the occassional cuss word or other naughty bit that gets into the reviews. We've tried to teach them, but our attempts have failed. :eek:

How old are the people who are reviewing products? 10, 12? It sure seems like it! After going through 7 barrel reviews, I noticed that the barrels they were talking about were not only "quite", but very "akurat". No, it wasn't "lowd", and the finish was "shinie". This is more amusing than it is annoying, but still, can you do something about it? I wouldn't mind spending an hour of my day going through reviews and correcting spelling mistakes. Please! Just stop the madness!

I agree. Rascism sucks. I hate everyone equally. I can stand cussing, moronic people and even people who like Automags (kidding) but I will not stand for rascism. If you need their emails hacked, I can do that, just give me the word.

After taking down the review comments, the bad reviews have seemed to rise. For some reason some people enjoy submitting these kind of "reviews".

This is a feature that is on the top of our list things will be adding to the site when Andrew returns. It will be similar in nature to the forums. You will establish a username/password and confirm your email address before you can post a review. There will be an anonymous option when you write a review, so only the mods can see who wrote it if you wish.

It is kind of sad that it has to come to this. Andrew never wanted to force someone to get an account just so they could write a review but as I write this message there have been 16815 reviews submitted to pbreview.com and of those 5837 reviews deleted. That is almost a third of reviews!

I think everyone (with the exception of the spam monkeys) is looking forward to the elimination of this.

The sad thing is, some people honestly believe they are being funny when they post a "MY TALON IS WAY BETTER THAN AN ANGEL" Everytime I go on, i delete at least 3 of those. It's so stupid I cant stand it, these people are the poster children for euthanasia

I just wanted to (and again im sorry, i know everyone hates it when people do this) say that I would be more than happy to, MORE THAN MORE than happy, to edit the reviews, I guess sort of like a mod, but with out the title. I even started a thread when I first came here asking if anyone DID in fact go through those reviews (I mean a designated person, not just mods in general). If that position arises, please tell me.

there is one review in the talon marker that is funny, im not sure if its that andrew guy or not, but he said he converted his talon into full-auto, can get somehting like 57 bps and adds thats his 500 rnd loader makes the gun heavy- " but after holding down the trigger for a few seconds that problem is resolved" what a we-tod

Some how i doubt Andrew, the owner of the friggin site, would put up a stupid review. I hate people who give Angels horrible reviews and crap. Last time i looked the Adrenalin Angel was like a 5.7 or something like that. I also hate people who write a question about the product and give it a 10.

I have to admit i've done 3 reviews for my SE, i gave it a 9, 5, and 7. SO it all evens out but next time i'll wait until i have the product more that 2 months to review it. Also theres nothing more enjoying then people emailing you and saying "Seems like you know your stuff, so blah blah blah" I've gotten 3 of those in the past day.

And i live in Georgia where racism is pretty big, especially in a redneck area... I've seen 2 non white people at my field the several times i've been there. Maybe its the confederate flag hanging up in the front that they never took down from the North vs. South 24 hour game.

The oner said one black guy has showed up and was joking around with him, when he told him the rules he said,
"The rules are you can't shoot blck people". That was pretty funny but the guy knew he was joking.

Ok enough of this pointless rambling... racism sucks!!!

Anyway, matt, im glad to hear it, i was looking at some cocker reviews last night and was pretty pissed off by the time i was done....the first 10 year old said it was 3 times as good as an angel, the next 10 year old said it was worse than a talon and should be sold at Wal mart.

When i look at reviews, im looking for people who actually have the product, know what they're talking about, and can write a good review.

but even with people having to register, they can always re-register more accounts etc if they other account is bannned. i realize that this is some sort of detterent(sp?) towards the a$sholes, but there is ALWAYS a way around it. trust me, i have been around forums for awhile and i know that there is always a way around whatever detterent(sp?) you may attempt to use.

good idea nontheless, i am all for it. i am sure it will cut the innapropriate reviews at least in half but may cut all reviews in half also.

If you can only have one PBreview account per email addy, then I think that would be a decent deturent. It is too much work for most losers to have to register for 2 things, just to be stupid... then again, there are those hard core retards out there who will go the extra mile... but for those of them who have static ip's... PermaBan :D
