Ok if you buy this reg by itself - $250, what kind've tank would you need for it? Where can you get that screw in tank that's in the max-flo tank?

i believe the tank is directly attached to the max-flow... I.E. not a screw-in type tank...

that one is the regulator only. On a normal 3k Maxy there is a screw in adaptor so your tank needs a valve. On the 4.5k version the place where you would normally screw in a tank, is a valve instead. So you would need to provide your own tank, sans valve or regulator. Remember it has to be a 4500 tank not a 3k tank. Or I could be totaly mistaken and spouting BS.
(http://www.smartparts.com/spmaxflo4500.htm <-- look at the pictures, that long threaded thing sticking out is the valve where you would screw the tank in. and the 4500 system is 400 bucks, -150 without a tank, making it 250, same as action village)
(http://www.smartparts.com/spsmartvalve.htm <-- same threads on smart valve)
(http://www.smartparts.com/spmaxflo3000.htm <-- no such threads)
