in my team, we have 4 positions- front, drifter, mid, and back.
The front player's job is to get up in the crucial bunker and start to engage. The back player doesn't have to stay 10 feet away from the back tape, but he does stay back and lay down cover fire and tell the front players what's going on. The drifter(that's me~! :D) stays relatively up too, and moves around the front lines and helps out hte front guy..at least that's what i do. The mid players stay around the middle, and when the drifter/front player gets a breakthrough, they move up and support them. Also, mid players can go up against the side tape and try to flank. I donno if this is universal, but that's how my team is set up.

the key is to have an organized set up, so that when you are on the field you have an efficient team that knows what to do and when to do it..also..you gotta place people where they feel most natural..i mean if a player who should be playing back plays front, he won't be good as good as someone who naturally places front.

I'm usually a mid to front player. A back player is possibly the most important person on your team. They give cover fire and shout out positions to front players and really help set the tone of the game. They tell you where to move, and just who is where. Mid playes are also veryimportant because they help the front man in the game. They lay down paint and help them move up, and then move up along with them. They eliminate and help maneuver front players. And last but not least is the frontman. The one who gets the flag, and has to be aggressive in the game.

If I had a new player in my team, I would rather have them be a front man than a back player.

i'm a front player. I'm pretty quick, and i'm 5'8..i can tuck in like no other..i do have to admit back players are the key to winning...

We always started in postions like that but we would use a rolling tactic that once contact was made our "positions" would change to the flow of the contact! I might have started out in back (We used the back as the flanking position the mid person was the "quaterback") when contact was made the back would go left or right to flank the "fight" to get a cross fire set up. Usally this caused the elimination of the opposition in which we would not setup positions again, whoever was furthest foward would be point. any questions just ask I think I am boring a lot of readers at this point!LOL

Back player all the way, may not be the job that gets all the glory, but ask any front player and he'll never say a bad thing about a back guy :)

Exactly, they make the front players better, and they are the ones controlling the game. Thats why I'd rather have a newbie be in the front or mid.

it's true that the back players are the most important, but front players have to make crucial moves to get a breakthrough in the game..i know i have..and failed some times too..:P

Yeah, I'm kinda glad i play back. I originally wanted to play front, but I'm the world's slowest runner (though I'm in great shape, just slow) so playing back came outta neccessity. I like it though. But the front players cant survive without the back, and to put a spin on things, the back players would be largely ineffective without front players. It's all about teamwork :)

I am a rusher and i bunkers other guys. Sometimes the rushers are better then the back position. Cause the rushers can take out the team while the back position takes the back so the enemy cant go around. Its pretty simple.

I'm glad i play back. I am a good runner, i just got an eye for shooting, though. It's much easier for me to play back because of that.

I tried playing back i dont like it much. I can run fast. If i need to then i will play back if not needed them im the front man.I am not afraid to get hit if run up to them and get them or whatever. It doesn't matter its all about winning.

i love playing middle and back. its so fun....its like you see about 4-5 people try to flank your team...you pop out...start sprayin at them...and if your lucky u just get all them out. plus if you play middle...you hide...suddenly u see guys comin from ur front/right and front/left. then its all a firefight...pop up...snap out like 10 shots..pop back in...out...snap 10....etc...and victory after you get like 5 people out is sweet. i dont like to run. i hate running. and i dont want some angel guy sprayin 30 shots at me in 2 seconds (full auto is allowed at my field..its woods play) and...yea...angels can fire pretty fast.

i'm 5'8 130 lbs....heheh just MAYBE im' the ideal front guy...besides...if i tried to carry as many balls as a back guy does...i'd probably be so weighd down i wouldn't be able to run LOL
