I was playing with a guy with a Black Magic cocker, and compared to mine, mine was way lounder than me, why is that?

I can't really understand what your asking about, try rewording your question doesn't make sense. If I read it right the gun doesn't really have alot to do with sound it is more of a barrel problem. The Black Magic some with a J and J barrel so if you want a quieter one maybe you should look into the barrel he had.

You mean "louder"? The Black Magic most likely runs at a lower psi than yours. Low operating psi = quiet. Ex. Shocker. What barrel are you using? What gun do you have?

A cocker is just plain old inherently quieter than a spyder. Alot of it is just the design of the gun. A timmy and matrix both run at the same PSI, cant hear the matrix, but you can hear the timmy. Just the way it is sometimes. That and Spyders are just plain loud

If you want to make your gun really quiet, buy an All-American barrel, buy a new bolt, and keep your internals oiled. That's really all you can do to make a Spyder more quiet.

fsu said it, all americans are the best barrels for noise reduction, quite as hell on my friends original spyder

that is true, The I have tried many barrels for my spyder, and I found that the AA is the quietest of them all.

is the all american accurate or it just reduce the noise?

I tested one out on a guy's Spyder SE and it was WONDERFUL!! Much better than the one on my old cocker. Great noise reduction and very accurate.

Another example of noise...take the rainmaker and the M98. A rainmaker runs at 400 some odd PSI, while a stock M98 runs at around 800 depending on what your tank is set at. Now, fire them both...don't put your ear too close to the RM, or you may lose your hearing ;)

Rainmaker + Lapco barrel = Cannon!

And twitch, I think its mainly that friggin bolt pin slamming against the body, makes such a loud clank.

My SE is still friggin koud with the AA. I find that nitrogen makes your gun quiter, i don't know if thats true but it might be.

If you want to get a new barrel that is quiet and accurate go for the smart parts Freak System. You match they type of paintballs your playing with with one of the bores and put the bore in the back part of the barrel. Except its kinda expensive. But i saved up for mine and its GREAT!
