I'm going to teach my brothers friends bout paintball after they get their guns for X-mas. Their mom asked if i would and i said sure. So can i get a manual or somethin for a tippy and what FPS would it be set at do u think.

Well, if they get a tippmann it will come with a little user manual, or if you have one then it came with your parts kit... If you don't have either of those then I bet you could call Tippmann and get another for free (pay s/h) or you can get their "free catalog from their website which has a parts list in it. Most fields are 285 fps or below if they are outdoor, some might be 300, but if your playing in the backyard just have it around 270 or something like that - be reasonable :D and your set! Have fun playing :)

Ok i'll have them bring their manuals. I know the fps limits i just want to know how high they will be when they come out of the box. They are comin to my woodsball field so their wont be a chrono ,but i think its time i got one. Thanks

There is no telling what they will be at. The 98's adjust by a setscrew that limits air traveling through the power tube, and I have seen them come out of the box with it all the way out, and all the way in.

I just give a good guess of how high it is. Just'll look at the screw.
