yeah I was thinking the same thing. Shockers were huge. How'd they fit it all in there?
Shadow221
12-23-2002, 07:35 PM
it looks a lot like the old design for the aluminum mag bodies.
I still can't believe that's actually a shocker.

I fully agree with edspyder. Awsome looking, but no more shoeboxes :( .

Obviously, it's not exactly a Shocker. It might have some parts but mostly it's an entirely new gun.

It looks pretty good, but i don't like the trigger style, or the reg. Those however, are changable.:D
I don't know what else to compare it to, never looked at the shockers.
I always go and drool over the best looking Autocockers.:dodgy:

i bet if you brought an electrical technician back from the 60's, he'd wonder how we fit a computer into a house.
i personally dont like it that much. its an attempt to be an xmag. bah. stupid fart charts.

THATS WHAT MAKES IT LOOK WEIRD! thanks dude! i was trying to figure that out. they need a thicker foregrip, and some sort of bonebreak milling on it. that and some sort of thing that comes up like a site rail. just for looks.
FusionLemming
12-23-2002, 09:20 PM
everytime i look at it, it sorta grows on me and i like it even more, they really should of made the foregrip fatter or something. i wanna see it in different colors (<-----canadian spelling) like black or blue or red, cuz that baby blue just aint (yes i said aint) cutting it for me

sweetness!! The old shocker looked kinda nice, but the new one looks tight!
the barrels threads (outsite) looks like it's automag style
how did they fit all the shocker-goodness into such a small(compared to the old one) package...
unless it's super wide, like the bottom of angel

eh i dunno about that. you know how cockers have a slanted breach? they CERTAINLY dont have automag threads.
they just got smaller elves to do their work for them!

ya those new shockers are sweet as hell looking. smaller, whole new look, new looking max flow, flat trigger:D im gonna get one as soon as i get the money for it. oh and is it just me or does anyone else realize that it has a 45ci tank on it. hopefully this means no more 300 shots off of a 68/3000 tank like it used to have. if this looks this good i wonder what the nerve will be like.
Thor the Mighty
12-24-2002, 09:45 AM
i have to admit, they do have a pretty good looking marker there.
that tank looks weird though. looks like there are fins onthe inside of it!
yeah the all new marker should be pretty sweet looking.
they should do this to it!

It looks like SP copied all kinds of other products- That new Maxxy looks EXACTLY like an Air America Apocalypse 2k, and the body looks way too much like an emag xtreame. Also that tank cover, if SP makes that I'm going to be so pissed. A small company was making those, and if they bought them out I think we should sue SP for monopolizing :pissed:

That picture is photoshopped if you guys didnt figure it out yet...No, that shocker does no exist. Look at the bottom of the feed tube compared to the barrel. The feed tube is small than the damn barrel. So paint cant fit! Even a nub with mspaint could figure that out. Compare the bottom of feed eith thickness of barrel, the paint has to fit through the barrel, but it cant possibly fit through the feed that has to be bigger than the barrel, and in the picture, is not. So it is photoshopped. Smart parts was in a hurry to cover up that space because paintballgateway bought EVERY SINGLE one of SP's 2k2 normal shockers, and they didnt want people to try to order anymore. So that is a fake, coverup, whatever you want to call it.

you definately have a point there tictacs. now that i look at it again, i can sort of see how they might have shopped that together. ill bet they just put that up to see what people think, and then will build a final product.

Look at the one where it's compared to an older Shocker. Same size feed tube.
Even if it's not real, that is what it will look like.

Even if it was photoshopped, and I doubt it was, that's a normal business practice---getting the public ready for what the product will look like.
Anyways.
It bears a striking resemblence to a MicroMag, in my humble opinion. I'm pretty sure that the mucho-talked-about SP Nerve is the same marker as the Shocker, because, well, take a look at this:
http://www.mountainroads.com/Artist/images/nerve2.jpg
The reason that the thing is so compact is because the electronics are housed in the grip frame. It really is a beautiful marker in my opinion, and I plan on picking up a gloss red one when I get the chance.
The foregrip looks a tad uncomfy, but maybe it's just me.
Back to one of my first points, I'm 99.9% sure that the 2K3 Shocker and the Nerve are one and the same. Man, SP is full of tricky *******s, eh?
And this should be posted in the Smart Parts forum.

OMG THAT IS AWESOME! However, the msrp has to be like 800. I hate being a broke teenager. I know some gnomes so I should be able to find a gnome who is a smart parts gnome....... Then the trickly little 3 foot dude will get me one because gnomes are special!

Other than open and closed bolt, what are the similarities to the Viking and Excalibur? They are both supposed to be efficient but that doesn't really group one into the Viking/Nerve group or Shocker/Excalibur group.

whoa, how could you misunderstand my post.....good god, obviously they dont look the same.......
i have a cocker7 is right, i m talking about how the nerve and the new shocker are practically the same gun in looks and what seems like function(i dunno about nerve and shockers performance)which is exactly like the viking and excal...

You said "nerve and shocker= viking and excaliber". I took that to mean that you think the Nerve and Shocker are Smart Parts answer to the Viking and Excalibur right? I'm wondering what leads to this conclusion.
What do the Nerve/Shocker have in common?
They look way different. The Shocker is square and the Nerve is sort of like a Matrix.
The only way we know they function similarily is that they use gas to propell a paintball. There isn't any real reason to think they would be similar in the way a Viking or Excal are similar internally.
So...they're both made by Smart Parts and have the same grip/frame. That's all we know for sure!

metaphor is the right word right?
alright, they look similar..... they only get differnt in design preety much in the back, because the shocker is just ciinguler, i ll agree that the nerve does look like a matrix kind of,
heres my question
from what everyone is saying( ) the shocker is going to be 700 and the nerve is going to be like 1200.....what justifies(great cd....:eyes: ) a 500 increase in price
again.......this is from what everyone on PBN is saying, i don'
t really believe it
