Shootign lane?

I was watching paintball on tv and heard them using the term a lot. I was just wondering what is a shooting lane and whats the purpose of it? thanks:)

a shooting lane is where you can see from one bunker to another farther up field.

in the picture, we see a person shooting from behind a bunker, and he can SEE up the field through a "lane", or clear line of sight.

basicly a shooting lane is ne where that people will mst likly pass through it could be as long as from your bunker to 2 bunkers away and that spce inbetween is ur lane

it could run the whole feild

Ya flanders is right... what u other guys are referring to is more like playing your tape or shooting the tape.

yeah, if someone is running down your shooting lane and you start shooting infront of them, setting up an area where they will run through and more then likly get hit, that is called "sweetspotting". great way to take ppl out on breaks or jsut any time i guess. most newbies dont realize this so when you do it to them, theyre amazed... well atleast the ones around here are because they dont realize you know where their going so when you move, they shoot at YOU instead of where you WILL BE... thats also probably part of the stem of "this gun is better then this gun" because you see better ppl with different guns getting more ppl out...
