newbie reg question

I just got a bob long torpedo for xmas from a friend. I have a spyder sonix. When I tried to install I couldn't figure it out. What's the reg supposed to screw into? The VA seems to be 1-piece and then connects directly to the braided steel line. Do I need an adaptor or something? Please help!!! (or link me to a page that can)

thanks guys. curious tho, will the adaptor make the regulator any less effective? What I mean is the air is leaving the reg at consistent pressure, but does it then having to go through the adaptor mess up the consistency at all?

Well, not neccessarily. If you are looking for a higher air flow, then I would suggest drilling a bigger hole in the adapter through which the air travels. I drilled my hole in the V/A because I have a low pressure setup. Besides that, the reg should give you no problem at all. I would just leave it alone as it is if you're not going LP.
