View Full Version : Grrrrr....My rant.

I'm just typing this to vent right now. I got my new gun yesterday (sent. TS) and to day I went to my local pro-shop to fill my tank so that I could try it out. I have 50$ christmas money left also, so I figure that I'd get an expansion chamber as well (since its cold and i run Co2).

Anyway, after waiting in line for a few minutes, i step up to the counter, ask to have my tank filled - but Nooooooo. This old grandma lady takes a look at my tank and hands it back to me. Figgin' Oldie Haun says she won't fill my tank because I have a sticker on it (it says "No Whining"). She gives me long explanation that has to do with liability and such. I was kind of pissed off, I mean, I understand about the rules and stuff, but everywhere else fills my tanks. The field, the shop I moved away from, paintball kingdom, they all filled my stickered tanks - no problem.

I say alright, and ask her about getting an expansion chamber. She tells me to wait for the technician (who is working on 1200 dollar cocker for a 12 year old kid). I wait for a few more minutes, and finally get to talk to the guy. I'm talking to him and he's kind of half-listening, and stops me in mid-sentance to go help some kid buy an STO cocker. When he gets back, I'm informed that they don't have any expansion chambers left! WTF! I go thru a 10 minute ordeal with this guy who's searching desperately for an expansion chamber. After a few minutes BS, i leave. Now I'm pissed. They wouldn't fill my tanks, and they treat me like the scum of the earth just because I don't have hundreds of dollars to spend on a high-end marker.

I mean, is it to much to ask to be able to head for a shop and get your tank filled (omg it has a sticker) and buy a cheap expansion chamber? I think I'll stick to buying parts off the internet, thank you very much. And next time somebody walks away from me because I'm gonna be spending 40$ instead of 400$, I might just break out the Zippo and a 5 gallon jug of Vitamin-G.

nobodies really cares about your problems but, you shoulda just took the sticker off and handed it back to her. And did u express your disappointment about the poor service to the workers there, even if they don't care just make your point to them or their manager, just don't cry to us about it.

i know how ya feel, i have beef with a couple of the shops here. i can swear one place broke my nitro tank cuz it worked two days before. but they always treat teenages with no respect unless we hand over our wallet.

Exactly dude! When they see a little kid and his mom they see $$$$$$$$. When they see me or you they see a problem.

well i dont really have that problem at my store because i pretty much know most of the ppl that work at my stroe. but you're lucky they didnt have expansion chambers, you could probably get a very nice used REGULATER( which are a lot better then x-chambers) on here or maybe even on e-bay for 50$

i know that feeling, its strange walking into a pro shop and having all these spoiled kids with $800 cockers they dont even know what to do with stand there with their parents and stare at you like you just walked in with cheddar cheese spraying out of your eyeballs and no pants on. But i noticed that kind of thing usually only happens on weekends or times when theyre really busy (day after xmas). It also depends whos working there ,what the hell was that old lady doing there? GO BACK TO GREETING AT WALMART! Usually someone like the shop owner or someone whos been playing paintball for a long time is more of a help than the guy who just wants to sell expensive things to gullable children(or should i say parents) And if the only people ever there are the old lady and that idiot who blew you off than take your business elsewhere.

Most unfortunate, but I'd still talk to the manager AND take your business else where. Where I'm at shops are few and far between. The one semi paintball shop we do have I won't buy from. Prices are WAY too high and service is...lacking.

ne way i help at alot of shops here and there and i plan on opening one sooner or later, just a small matter of funding

they have a reason for talking to that kid first, most likly here are a few

1 he could have been there first
2 he culd have just been in there
3 he could be the guys brother or something
4 he may have a very major problem wile u simply need an x chamber
5 he sees more money in that kid..oh i meen umm he works there:eyes:

ne way yea so u waited pb stores aint all that bad to wait around in u can look around and tuch stuff

as for ur tank, stickers have a few problems 1 they cna cover scratches, dins dents or vital information

if u have hpa it can efect ur fil pressure

hope u find what u need man sorry bout ur bad time

I understand about the tanks, but nobody ever said anything about it before. And i was especially pissed about the X-chambers because I called before I left to go there and asked if they had them! They said yes!

This is kind of O/t but I am 15 and have a 1,000 doller cocker. But I didnt pay that much for it. I know how u feel, I used to get treated rough at this one place so I stopped going there.

Anyway I bought a used bushmaster for 300$ then traded on these forums and now I have a 1000 doller cocker.

why get all freaked out over it man, just take your money to another store and to heck with them. however if you became a regular customer at said store i can guarantee they wont blow you off. one thing that pisses store owners off more than anything is spending thirty minutes talking to some kid and showing em all this stuff to have the kid turn around and say "cool now that i know what it looks like i'll go order it online" come in there more and do buisness with them and they'll give you some repsect

Little story:

My store caters to high-end players with their $1,000.00+ set-ups also, but because they sell so few guns, most of the store's money comes from three things- repairs ($60.00 an hour and minimum is $30.00), upgrades/accessories, and paintballs.

I was trying to find a good low-end electro and the guy working the counter blew me off when a guy and his son walked in and looked at the Angels, Matrices, Intimidators, etc.

I was left standing there holding a gun and waited for a few minutes, saying, "Excuse me," several times. The guy continued to brush me off so I calmly asked to speak to the owner/manager of the store and informed him that I was disappointed at the way I was simply blown off and the jerk indignantly responded, "Well, are you buying a $1,500.00 gun or a $150.00 gun? Use your head man, I could loose big money!"

Well, as you can imagine, that made me VERY angry and so I decided I could get even with him. Note that there were nine of MY friends, amongst them two Angels, an Intimidator, an E-Mag, three Matrices, and one Nasty Impulse and all were milling around, looking over parts and check out what was new AND we each had a case of $80.00 Hellfire in our arms.

So, I turned around and looked at MY friends and said, "Alright, this guy doesn't seem to want to serve us, let's go, we can get paint about a mile down the road." There is another store about a mile down the road but it's prices are a bit higher so we usually go there, but the selection isn't that great.

So, I started moving towards the door and the owner said, "Hey, wait, wait, wait, I think I can give you guys paint at a reduced price, we're, uh, running a special, $65.00 a case?" So we took him up on it and since then, none of us has had a problem with poor service.

BTW, we still have a special going, $5.00 off a case and a free air fill with every case.
