How much PSI is too much psi for a marker? And how do you controll it?
Thanks :)

It depends on what type of marker/setup you have. You control the psi by using a regulator.

why do you wanna know how much is too much...
:confuse:
what are you planning...

a spyder can run like 700-800 stock... i think...

Most entry-level guns operate at 800psi-850psi, some of the higher-level guns get down to 95psi (Nova I think?). Anyway, unless you get an adjustable regulator or HPA tank, you will not have to worry about it.

I have a spyder compact 2000, and am looking to invest in a crossfire HPS. It has a fixed output of 850 and I was wondering if I should keep looking because that is too much or if it is just right.
Thanks:)

That should work great. Anything between 700-850 should work well on a spyder. (Unless it has certain low pressure upgrades.)

Yeah, as long as you don't have an lp reg and lp valve system, it should work fine...if you want a reg, look into a palmer stabilizer

Most...if not all..open bolt blowbacks operate stock about 700-850. The ones with a reg operate at the same pressure if there aren't any other upgrades, but the regulator allows better consistency (translation...instead of your chrono reading 284, 290, 269, your chrono might read something like 284, 280, 289, or if you have a REALY nice reg/setup on a blowback, it might read 285, 283, 284). The regulator also allows velocity adjustment when that thumbwheel just won't go high or low enough.

Now, if we threw enough upgrades and things into a PSyder, it might operate at 400, though I've yet to see in person a Spyder that operated under that, and I have even yet to even HEAR of one that did so efficiently. My old Spyder was mid-pressure....I could have set it lower, but for my own reasons I felt the higher pressure was better. It operated at 475. I needed the extra presure to help prevent dropoff at the RoF I was acheiving. 15 BPS to be exact.

Um. Ive heard and seen people have efficent spyders running in the 200-350 psi range. I dont know about 15 bps though. Unless u set ur mako storm at full auto id be pretty hjard to get 15 bps on a spyder.

Yes, my Mako storm was on full auto. I used a forcefed HALO-B to acheive that RoF. And I never said it wasn't possible, but I did say I've never SEEN it.

Dunno exactly how this is relevant, but I was adjusting my gladiator to work on my cocker and to see how many psi it was running at I put it through my friend's stock BD Basic which has a guage. It would recock, no problem, sub 350 psi. Nonetheless my friend runs it between 500-800psi.....I think it's much more reliable like that.
