Would an impulse perform well in a tourney or would it fall behind?
The impulse will definetly hold its own and if you have an anti-chop eye it will dominate in a tournament. Like everyone else says though, you have to be able to use it.
it would hold its own but it woulnt do to much more
Its as good as any other electro. It is pretty much equal to a bushmaster. The angel and intimadator are a little bit higher end but I think the Impulse is a great tournament gun.

It's not the gun from god every one claims it is, so don't expect it to be, but yeah, it will be competitive

They are not too bad. I have seen people tighten the trigger pull up to the point of impressiveness. Is that a word? Anyway, the new ones with Anti-Chop eye are prett sweet. After all, its the player not the gun.

Yer, uhh... smoking a lot of crack, aren't u 56?
Is that like, your IQ? An intimidator picks up the impy, and profusely beats it into the ground.

i think pretty much any gun would hold its own in a tourney. i have played against tourney level guys at my field with all kinds of nice guns, kapp cockers, timmies, bushies, TONS OF ANGELS and i am able to take them out with my shutter and big shot barrel. if you know how to play and your gun can throw paint in the general direction of forward, you'll be ok.

Right........ and when you've got yourself a nice blackmagic cocker are you going to admit you were taken out by a kid with a shutter and a aftermarketbarrel?

Remember that guy from Team Rabid Virus (he may of switched teams) with the Spyder? That guy kicked some a$$, you can see him in Skyball 2000 on pigtv (pretty sure it's that year). Even if I end up buying a mag or imp at the end of the year, I'm gonna use my mill, I love this gun (in a non-sexual way).

Such a stupid debate. First of all, we have guys with Spyders etc commenting on guns they don't own. OK, so I don't own an impulse, but it was my first choice, so I know what I'm talking about.
But at any rate, you should have no problem admitting you got shot out by some "kid with a shutter".
Just because you have a sweet gun doesn't mean you know how to use it. AND having a better gun just means you SHOULD be able to get them more efficiently then they get you. It doesn't make you invisible or invincible to paintball fire.
Stupid.
