I've noted that paintballs and barrels are made with MUCH better quality and precision than they once were made with and that there is more consistency and match between the two.
So, with that in mind, how come such a rise in firepower and 500-round eliminations if accuracy of equipment has improved? Or has accuracy of the player decreased? I wonder...I wonder...hmm...
Anyway, just an observation to anyone who cares.
One more thing...anyone remember "Sniper Balls"? Fun fun fun!!!

I think that it human nature to shot more paint on average if you can. My proof of this is the real world and the evolution of firearms. Mainly the jump from smooth bore muzzle loading weapons to that of riffled breach loading weapons.
If accuracy equals less shots than the soldiers of the modern era should use less ammunition with their more accurate weapons than their muzzle loading ancestors. Which is not the case.
The ROF and accuracy increased and so did the usage of ammunition by the average soldier. Just like in the evolution of paintball.
Or for that matter the transition from smooth bore muzzle loading weapons to riffled muzzle loading weapons. Both weapons required that the user reload from a standing position and the transition didn't result in a change of battle tactics that breach load weapons caused (ie The armies using both smooth bore and riffled muzzle loading weapons still fought using linear warfare tactics). The ROF remained the same but more ammunition was used because the effective range was increased allowing more shots to be fired in volley before the battle turn to bayonet on bayonet fighting.

If you can be more accurate AND dump more paint, why wouldn't you?

Sniper balls...lol...those are the things with fins? They sucked.
