Being shot in the eye...yeah, that was the stupidest thing I've done. Happened back when I was still in H.S., aka still stupid. A 'friend' of mine was sitting by us at a local field talking. Him, being the dumbarse that he was shot his gun (maybe on accident, maybe not) 3 times. First one knocked the barrel plug out. The other two hit me. One on the temple, knocking me unconcious and raising a 3-4in knot. Second just below the left eye, with fragments going into it.
I woke up driving to the hospital, and I looked in the mirror. My entire eye was milky-white, no pupil or iris...very wierd. Anyways, to make a long story shot, I ended up staying in the hospital for 3 weeks, and waiting a year to play again. I can still see out of the eye, but my vision is horrible (in both eyes, because the other had to strain or something like that), around 20/90 (I think). Started playing again as soon as the doctor said it'd be ok, even though my parents didn't think it was 'a good idea to get back into THAT sport'.
Well, I'm still playing 5 years later, so it didn't deter me at all ;). I just put my mask on as I get out of my car, and don't take it off until I get back in. I also make sure everyone I see has a barrel plug (that fits properly) in, and am trying to make my local field go barrel condom-only. If I see someone on my team walk off the field without his or her barrel plug in and safety on, they're done for the day, because they won't be playing on my team again.

Well, I guess mine's a tossup of shooting through a hopper and a 4 pack of full tubes at one guy in one game, then running out of ammo and air. I found out later that he whiped over a dozen shots off, g'dam prick.
The other was, i was in a firefight against two guys in a bunker. I killed them both and moved up to their bunker to have a place to run for the flag. Apparently, there was a third guy who only decided to pop up after I had gotten there and shot me 4 times on top of the head from about a foot.
Hey, wait, both of these are stupid things other people have done :(
BTW ranch, why did you choose that particualr smiley? ;)

I would have to say when me and my friends were in the woods, my team hid behind this huge tree and I was a little behind them and I shot about 20 rounds on them because I had this crappy stock barrel and the balls would curve and nail them.

Him, being the dumbarse
Hey I have a friend like that I call him Chris I make sure that if his gun is pointed at me I tackle him.
The stupidest thing that I have ever done is let Chris borrow my hopper(just generic not a revvy). After his day of paintballing he did not breack it to my surprise but, the next day my friends and I were getting ready to go paintballing so Chris being the dumbarse that he is decides to throw me my hopper, my hands were completely full with paintballs, gun, mask etc. I saw the hopper coming it bounced off of me and fell into a rock and then bounced on the cement shattering to top of it.
That is my fault because I should have never let him borrow anything.

well i was playing a woods game and all that was left was me and one other on my team....we got separated in a firefight with the two left on the other team and about 10 minutes later i heard somone clomping though brush and i stalked him for 5 minutes utnill i had a clear shot at his lower body....i unloaded about 20 rounds and hit him 7 times (this was pretty long range) only to find out it was my now pissed off team mate.........this was quite ironic because the game before HE accidentally shot me in the wrist from about 20 feet when i popped out and scared the piss out of him ROFL!

i have a few (mostly NOT my fault... suure, thats what they alll say)
1. letting someone i did not know too well borrow my gun. well he was a newbie, and, as we all know, newbies will find any design flaws in any gun, and they will be sure to break it in just that manner. he somehow lost my cocking nob. bent my wire nubbin (how?? it is recessed into the gun) and lost my squeegie. then, he conveniently left for spain for almost a year... 2 days later... with a black eye and a light wallet.
2. NOT let somebody borrow my allen key to adjust his velocity (he woulda lost it, though i was the one to notify him he was shootin hot) and proceed to get my hopper SHOT IN HALF by the same kid... from 80 feet. he left cryin cause i wouldnt let him play anymore (we were playin outlaw and he should have his own tools.)
3. trusted a person say " i will pay you back." i needed that money for a tourney. oh sure, he payed me back, a month and a half later.

Okay before I start I want to say I believe every player is entitled to one truly stupid mistake(minor mistakes are ok) with that in mind:
I was playing one day and was really hyped up so me and my two buddies go to the chrono range to check our speeds and before it was my turn I decided to take a few practice shots at the targets at the chrono range so I did. 1.2.3456. Then I realized my new barrel plug which was metal and very difficult to remove or shot out had not been unplugged and stayed in through all the shots. My buddies who had been standing on each side of me took the blunt of the splattered paint. SO, thats my of mental ineptitude (aka stupidity)and they still have forgiven me and that was 2(or more) years ago.
Another time my hopper fell off while I was running to a bunker and I couldn't stop and when I got to the bunker I heard my revvy churning (bzzzz) and looked at it with much hatred at the moment while they kept shooting when I reached for it I did get it; almost got my head shot in the process.

Probably when I had just started playing and I couldnt tell the difference between when a ball was fired and when they just shot air. We were playing center flag and it came down to me and one of the veterans. He got the flag and then he slowly advanced shooting what I thought were paintballs, and I kept hiding. He finally put the flag on our rope. After the game I found out he was just shooting C02

I've never really done anything dangerously stupid like that, I've always been safety conscious, and I've never been injured as a result. I have brought down many bunkers before. First day I had my pack (I never used to wear one) someone popped out right in front of me. Using my cat-like reflexes (lol) I jerked my head back and the shot missed. However, jerking my head back and the extra weight behind me threw me off balance and I started to fall backwards. I grabbed onto the wall of barrels in front of me and pulled em down with me. The other guy couldnt stop laughing and missed a couple of shots before taking me out.

It was my first tournament. It was a 3 on 3 tourney. It was down to me and someone else. We had a little one on one going on. He was moving up and i was just sitting there thrownig paint when all of a sudden i ran out of paint. I went to reload but i got so nervous i started spilling balls. He popped up round the corner i tourned and balls went flying everywhere. He shot me about 6 times. but i got a few in there. I got bunkered!!!

the dumbest thing i've probably done is saw a guy laying down and crawling across the field(not towards our base, not towards theirs). He was behind a little hill that my players on the ground couldn't hit but i was in a sniper tower.i saw his head pop up from time to time and he appeared to be looking toward our base like he wanted to find someone to shoot. i unloaded on him and it took maybe twelve shopts before i got him on the top of the head(barrel on rental talon was really crappy and it curved down over his cover). after the game we were talkin' and i found out he was on our team but oh well, he was a really nice guy.

I havent had anything really TRULY stupid really happen yet but I have had one incident and my friend did something utterly stupid.
1. My revy was whirling (first time I was using it) So I thought I was outa paint I turned off the revy and fired a few more balls then reloaded, I turn a corner and there is a Pro (we were playing against some at the time) and he didnt see me. I totaly unloaded and I shot nuthing but air, forgot to turn my hopper back on =) he turned and took me out in one shot.
2. My friend was hiding under a pine tree with a team mate and I ran right in front of them. The Guy in front of my friend was taking aim, and my friend became spooked and fired shots at me. One hit his teamates hopper infront of him and blew a hole in the plastic cover spilling his paintballs everywhere. That was pritty stupid I thought lol

ive done alot of dumb things,,but the dumbest,,and funniest is what my friend did. We were playing some sort of scenario capture the flag thing,,or something, and 3 of us where in a small building, all of a sudden, we turn and our friend was standing there. He would have killed us bad, but soon as he pulled his trigger on his tippy, his tank made the infamouse buuuuurp sound. He was out of air. He took of running as we gunned him down in the back....

Just yesterday when I was playing...
we were playing VIP, and right after the VIP got shot one of my friends on the other team took of his mask. It was too late though. I hadn't heard that the game was over, and so I was still shooting. Right as my friend's mask was comming off, I shot and hit him in the head, just a few inches above his eye.
THANK GOD I DIDN'T HIT HIS EYE!!
he shouldn't have taken off his mask so quick, but I should've been more aware that the game was over.
From now on, I'm gonna be extra careful!
