I'll be as honest as possible here, I myself am not an owner of the Maruader in question but recommeded it to a friend because the magazine "Paintball International" ran an article about it and how great it was reguarding its price tag and performance. Well, after a full days worth of gaming at our local field, my friend completely disliked the Maruader. I tried this Brass Eagle contraption at the Chrono area...1, 2, 3 balls broke...I cleaned it with a squeegie and shot it again...1, 2...Break! another ball broke and so on, every other ball I shot broke, despite my cleaning it out, it broke every other ball shot. I see why my friend dislikes this marker now. I feel bad that I recommended it to my friend despite what this popular magazine states, now I look bad. My friend just purchased a Spyder Shutter, and loves it, and since the Maruader incident, he wont take any of my PB advice. A lot of people think that the Brass Eagle line of markers just has this stigma or stereotype attached...not so, Brass Eagle markers does in fact suck, it's been tested and known. Despite my own experiences, what do you people that own the BE Maruader think of this marker, how does it preform for you?

The reason why it was busting like that was either

1. the paint he was using

2. the stock barrel(most likely, everyone knows how that crap works)

By replacing one of them, or both for that matter, it should eliminate the problem. Another thing that will help is a regulator, this can reduce ball breakage if not totally eliminate it completely when used with the right paint and a new barrel. Sadly, drop-forwards cannot be added, the only disappointment I had with it when doing mods.

Well anyway, thats just what I think, I dont know why everyone bashes on this gun, it's good when upgraded but most ppl dont take time to do that, so whatever.

Well, the paint and the barrel you and him were using...

1. The Barrel: If you used the stock barrel, yea they gonna break like a mother. But Get a 14 barrel, and you will see one big diff. (nuff said)

2. Paint: For some reason, this gun uses brass eagle paint the best. Brass eagle paint has to be the crapiest in the land, but in brass eagle's, it works like a charm:D

If your marauder is chopping alot of balls, TAKE OUT THE SPACER (little silver round thing at the end of spring) you should'nt chop any more balls:freak:

i no liked it when i used it. i was using pmi premiums and the thing busted quite a few. not very accurate and loud as a glock. i too prefered my spyder over that, but it dims in presence of my mag.
