i just bought and installed an Omega Turbo valve in my BD Basic.
now, when i hook the air up there is a leak, which sounds like its comming from the valve area and traveling up through the barrel.
dont know if this matters but...
i had to use my stock valve screw because the one they gave me was too long. but the one they gave me had an o-ring on the screw
also, it comes with an aluminum cupseal
thanks for any help
EDIT:
now i have a new problem. the valve still leaks but i decided to shoot a few shots to see if that would help seat thr cupseal better but the gun burps and wont recock when i shoot it and after the first shot the leak gets worst
thanks

Hey my valve had the same problem! And it sounds like the exact same kind of valve and pin that you described... But I never figured out what the problem was so I had to go back to my old valve... If I find out why I'll let you know man.

ok, thanks
there has to be someone on this board who knows how to deal with this problem!

Leak down the BARREL would be caused by the cup seal not sealing or possibly by the valve O-ring(s) not sealing. Unsure how an aluminium cup seal can seal well against and steel valve face, but I'm not metalurgist so maybe it's possible.
I'd try a little bit of oil, try running the marker at higher pressures to see if that forces a seal and then drop down the pressure, and if that fails call the manufacturer of the valve for support.
Don't forget to post your results here.

i just realized that the cupseal IS NOT aluminum. is it plastic with an aluminum cap over it

If the oil and orings and higher pressure dont work you might wanna try a new cupseal or springs i had a bent spring that off set my cupseal just enough so air would flow by it

crap i forgot to ask did you have your gun cocked? when you tanked it?

yeah, i had the gun cocked when i connected the air. it leaked before i shot and even worst after i shot.
thanks for the help

the problem is that valve stick thing (the metal stick)
heres my lil experiment
i changed the cup seal on the omega stick to the stock seal and put it in the stock valve
the stock valve began to leak just like the omega valve, still tryin to find a answer

yea thats what its called
well anyway ive stumped now. ive tried everything from cup seals to orings to teflon to oil to really hard springs and no progress
what a waste of 20 bucks

First things first. This may sound stupid to you but is your valve in the right way? The bigger hole goes towards the front of the marker. If that doesn't solve it, I would just use the stock valve pin with your setup. It should solve everything if the new valve pin is too long.

or it could be that the valve o-rings arent the correct ones or you didnt oil the o-rings

i know which way the valve goes in...
i also found the problem...
the surface of the valve where the cupseal meets was not smooth...
so i just took my new pin and used it with the old valve...so now im getting PARTIAL higher flowing
oh well...crap happens
