Just got a black Phantom, but I can't seem to get the velocity quite right. I don't have a chronograph, so does anyone know about how many cranks of the velocity screw (from tight) is about 280 fps? Also, does anyone have any maintainence tips?

I dont know how many cranks is takes, Ive never had to adjust mine. Theres not much you have to do with it, just dont do anything stupid. Its a solid marker and once you get the velocity where you want it then you wont have to touch it very often.

Well, nobody can tell you that, because C02's pressure varies by temperature. So it could fire at 300 fps where you live and 250 up here.

Yeah Id suggest not shooting at anyone unless you have it chronoed. You cant tell what you will be shooting at due to the differences in the way the CO2 reacts with the enviroment. Find a Chrony and play it safe.

Of course I still chrono, any good field will make you, but playing in the rain or in blazin summer sun Ive never had to change it. Its always been around 240-250

I think they come set to fire at 270 fps from CCI, but that may be different if you are in the south or somewhere really hot. You should always have a chronograph if you are playing though.
