What is the thing between teh low pressure regulator and the pneumatic air cylinder assembly in my defiant and how can i get it out?

Its the valve. there is a bolt under the tray so take the tray off and unscrew the bolt the take the lpr off and unscrew the ram and push it out with something pencil eraser. Why would you want to take it out. unless theres an o ring u need to replace.
