Eclipse Impulse Fangz

Anyone using this? How well does it work?

I know DasBaldDog does on his I-Frame, the foward fang hangs over a little so you can cut yourself if you aren't careful (yes, they are sharp like fangs (go fig :rolleyes:) and I know DrJ has some on his Rat with the stock frame, check the pic thread and stuff to see what it looks like, I haven't heard any complaints about them.

I have the V.2 I-Frame and it is made to be compatible with the old board and cricket board, so it has the spots for the old dwell adjustments. Would the fangs cover up the old dwell adjustment holes?

Yes they do cover all four holes. If you get the package, make sure you got the set screw that is supposed to come with it (it's super tiny and in a small plastic bag). The left fang hangs nicely but the right fang does hang over the edge just a bit. I could see where a right-handed person would have some trouble but since I'm left-handed, it's a minimal problem.

I suppose you could trim them down very easily. What you might want to do, is put the fangz on the i-Frame, scratch a line into the fangz to mark where they hang over, that way, when you trim off material, you don't trim off too much.

After that, just get some black enamel paint and paint the exposed ends.

There is one thing to consider on the I-Frame. The power switch hole on the front left is still exposed. I covered mine by placing a sticker over it.

I used it and didn't even notice that...incase you were wondering on how good the sticker did.

Thanks Das. Right now I just have electrical tape over the dwell and the on off switch. I think I am going to get the fangs soon. Do you know of any place that sells the old style on off switches? thanks
