I have had my dragun for about 4 months. I had to replace the sear because it was worn down. now my gun won't fire after I cock it. I have tried ajusting the sear but that doesn't work. any Ideas???

first, make shure you cant shoot it when there is no air. if you cant shoot it, take off the trigger frame and see it the solonoid/sear clicks. its probably just an old battery

are you shure you adjusted your sear the right way because your sposed to loosen it. take out the internals and hold the body tube eyes hight, and see if you can see the sear. if you cant see the sear, you need to adjust is and if you can see it your sear is fine. other than that i cant help you because you need to be more specific about why your gun isnt firing

Dear Synchronium, I'm having the same problem of not firing with my BD Basic. It's like the gun is not quite cocked fully. If I re-cock it it fires 2-3 shots then I have to cock it again. What's wierd is I get a good 12-15 shots off at the start of each game or at chrono and then the cocking problem starts again. At first I was told it was a Co2 issue with freezing and proceeded to buy an anti-siphon. When that did'nt work I bought a nitro tank and it still does it. I e-mailed M3 tonight and will anxiously await some advice. Any other ideas?

I'm just taking a stab at it but someone I know had a problem like that if I recall correctly. He said his marker was "starved" of air, meaning it wasn't getting enough air to recock itself after a few shots. I know it's not really helping but hopefully it will get you in the right direction. :|

Interesting you should mention that because I can dry fire all day long but when I go to shoot balls it acts up.

I was having the same problem this weekend. my gun either wouldn't shoot or it wouldn't recock. First thing I did was fill my nitro tank with the scuba to see if it was an air problem. That didn't work. Then I just tried turning my sear a lot looser than normal and it worked! For all you people with recocking or uncocking or even non firing problems, play with your sear with air on the marker! Cock the marker with air on it and do the basic adjustment that m3 tells you to do. Twist out the set screw and turn out the sear screw all the way and then start turning it in until it fires. But when you turn it back after it fires, cock the marker and start shooting for every half turn until it starts firing correctly. According to m3, you have to turn it back a complete turn but for some of us that have more warn sears or even polished sears it needs to be more than one turn. Alll this is is trial and error my friends. Oh yeah, make sure you have paint in your gun too when you do this. This weekend I had to readjust my sear 3 times! Don't give up!

well I finally figured out that I had a bad solenoid. So away it went to M#. This may not be your problem but, if nothing else works call m3( hint: the toll free number doesn't work.).

Thanks for your help though.

Thanks for the info. I will definitelt try that sear adjustment. Another question for you. What does it cost you to get your scuba tank filled and how does that it work out costwise for you?

Yeeeessssssssss!!!!!!!!

ok listen to this. about 5 minutes after I posted my last post above the ups truck drives up and my dragun is here!!!!!!!
Nuts... I have no money to go to a field and "test" it.

hmm, maybe I can tell my mom that it needs to be "tested" to make sure it works. :)

LOL BOB!!! That's Awesome!!! It costs 3 bucks to fill a 3000psi scuba tank but you must have a scuba license at most places. If you know someone who dives just ask them to take your tank and fill it for you and pay em like 5 bucks. Out of a 80 cubic foot scuba tank I think you get about 5 3000psi fills and about 10 2000psi fills and about 10 1000psi fills. not positive on that though. I was using my friends scuby so I don't know for sure. Costwise it's the best investment you can make if you can fill the scuba tank. Tanks cost anywhere from 100-300 bucks depending on if they are used or anything. I would reccomend finding a used tank in good condition with no major damage to it and then get it hydroed. My friend got the scuba tank for free from a friend that dives and gets it filled from him too. It also scares the noobs to have a scuba tank! :jester:
