upgrading an impulse

My friend asked for an ESP frame and a palmer for his spyder and low and behold he gets an impulse...:eek:

So whats the first thing he should upgrade on his gun? He has a ric2k and hes planning on getting an anti-siphon and an on/off switch for his co2.

Unless he got a Vision... He might want to look into a faster hopper first.

Secondly, perhaps a barrel. Freak or Pipe or something.

Third I would say would be a solenoid optimizer of one sort or another.

Wolverine would be happy to explain all the solenoid optimizers to you. Sorry but I am late for church at the moment. :)

the two first upgrades that make an Impulse "come Alive" are an adjustable blade trigger (like the New designz) and an air mod. To start out with, he might just get a tape worm (you can pick them up for about $10), However he should save toward an Iso mod or LPR (the Evil Respator is an LPR)

The best hopper that you can actuly get your hands on is a Egg 2. While the Halo is faster, they are about impossibel to get.

After you have upgraded the trigger and done the air mod, he may want to do the interals. While it is possible to just swap the bolt, I would recomend he do a "balanced swap" that is get a bolt/hammer/ram all at the same time. My personal choice is the ND bolt, Slick shot ram, and Rat Hole hammer.

The barrel on the Impulse is actuly very good. when you start going to turny's and have to use their paint, a barrel with interchangable bore sizes is a big advanage. Ofcourse the best way to go is the Freak, but the new pipe will be out soon to fit the Impulse, and it is a very nice system.
