ok, here's another pic of my marker. I decided not to go LP or Electro, I took the money that I would have spent on that to upgrade my mini-mag and esprit to nitro and hopefully I'll be glad i did it. They are so stock it's sickening =/ anyways I have been goofing around with my 98 again since I have nobody elses gun i have to work on. What is different is that My regulator, df, and nitro are off and I have a 4oz co2 on there i think. and I have been experimenting with the idea of making clips to no only lower the profile but lighten the gun. This is draft no. 1. The clip is attatched to the marker with double sided tape (remember its a draft) and the clip is made up of two ten round ball tubes taped together with electrical tape. the end of the tube is cut opened and has a bit of silicon putty in to make the ball roll easier into the chamber. The tubes have a groove scored along the inside to serve as a track for a spring from a PT Enforcer to gently push the balls to the end of the tube. The spring is mounted to the cap so I don't lose it.
I know its a bad pic, but its from my digital camcorder and not my digital camera because it has no battery so .... anyways Ill go buy some more batteries eventually, and post some less crappy pictures. Or maybe Ill post a movie muahahaha

yeah i dont think ill be putting a warp feed on this gun =) I really wanted to lighten the gun and not make it larger. I have seen a number of people asking about how to make a clip for the 98c so I figured I would give it a whirl. But thanks anyways.

i have a ptx and you prolly wont like a clip system... any time i use it alone i have to reload several times... but if your a sniper i guess its the setup... most of the people on this forum seem to play outdoors... i always look at it from a speedball or hyperball perspective... good work though... very nice...

thats a cool idea...
a freidn and i are working on a clip for our 98c's....
only we want ti to be part of the elbow and use parts for really clips... well atlease the body of a clip... mor of a stick clip... so it has kindof the look of the old tippy SMG...
anyways cool stuff dude... very compact look to it!

hey thats a pretty cool idea... if you could make it look like a real magazine clip that feeds from the bottom, it would be awesome...
i ahve a question tho,
doesn't the spring apply too much pressure, will balls break?

no, it just applys enough pressure to push it forward....:)

If your pretty good with tools you could make a rail mounting system, with a 1/4 turn release like an automag barrel. Or you could rig up some kind of quick release system. That would be freakin cool. Good luck watever you do.:D

my cousin made a clip for his gun it feeds up from the bottom kinda like yours in some perspective and it is attached to the foregrip by them things that they use to hold pipes to walls, sleek design....

Yes, CD is gone. He has other duties to tend to, like the CPPA stuff. He bought the Palmer a while back though, so I don't know why that was brought up.

to make it not look so.. homemade you should order a PTX black clip, or a few of them, then rig that to the side instead.. i have a buddy to did that, looks great and he can evan quickchange clips like you can on a PT

yeah i know it looks homemade because it is. its also the first draft. =) I also know that you could put a PT clip onto it since as i said in my first post i used a spring from the PT Enforcer, but that would be pretty expensive for multiple clips and not be as fun as creating my own.

An Anemone or Clematis plant's juice can cause a rash. When pruning them it's a good idea to wear gloves
