Hey Paintballers,
I am taking a survey and wondering.... What is the ultimate barrel. Just drop me a line and let me know your choice. The barrel should have all of these attributes.

1. inexpensive:tup:
2. quiet:yell:
3. not heavy:paranoid:
4. Overall best Barrel:agree:

ULT BARREL IS THE DYE ULTRALITE
it's around $50
not $180-$200(freak)
quiet b/c it has good porting
not heavy b/c it's made all outta alumnium
overall best barrel b/c it's the boomstick w/o the weight
p.s. a mod's gonna close dis down soon b/c it'll b flame wars

We all have the ability to act our ages, so nobody should start flaming, and there should be no need to close down the thread.

But if your really short on cash I'd recomend a dye xcel at 37 dollars, it shoots almost any paint accurate, you dont have to worry aboutt he bore size of the paint as long as it isnt bigger than .690 and its a quality paint, thats not really really old. But if you can afford it go for the ultralite, its by far the best barrel on the market.

yes, i'd like to know where you found them that low too. i've seen them for $60, but that's it. anyway, i'd say (without having tried an ultralight, but i'm going to get one for my spyder) the all american '02 is the best all around. $70, extremely quiet, great accuracy, looks good.

Hmm, I used to have a 2k2 all american and it was amazing. Incredibly accurate, super quiet, looked good too. I'd recommend it to anyone.

3 all americans around here 3 sucked. At first, they were all great because the front and back lined up equally. But after unscrewing the front and back and screwing it back together many times, the threads started to strip and a little gap developed between the front and back of the barrel this gap can cause paint to break at a very high ratio (like one out of every 40 balls). So please, dont buy an all american, odds are it'll just suck. Now, im sure that there are some all americans out there that dont do that, but 3 out of 3, damn, why take the risk?

So say the one of the people who just happened do start a dye ultralight club. Next he will tell you to get one or a boomstick. Smart Parts has a 6 month warrenty on there products and great costumer service. Check the reviews. I Havent seen any people with that problem.

Oh and you had three of them??? Why would you have three of them??

Try to get any dye barrel and i think the ultimate barrel is the Ti boomy, flashier than the ultralite and still half the weight of the normal boomy.

I dont like the black and chrome look for my barrel, thats why i like the ultralite more than the ti, its cheaper too, and its still lighter. A much better investment than the ti boomer.

Btw you may want to think of shortening your sig before a mod does it for you.

uhh wat do they call it, talk bout the pot callin kettle black

whatever, cocker kid has good opinions and knows a crapload bout paintball, but just sayin sometimes he contradicts himself.

i wonder where he was when i asked if i should get the all american 2002, cause i got it now its a little too late

oh well, i like it actually, i havent yet encountered those problems, but prolly will eventually.
but on accuracy points i still like it more than the dye excel on the following points
1. quieter
2. bit more accurate

thats just been my experience shooting out of both barrels

damn i hope all american 2002 doesnt turn out as bad as cocker says it will cause id be pissed

I got the 32 Degrees Nyte Stikk. Cheap and wonderful! I highly reccomend it.

Don't pay too much for a barrel, they really aren't worth it. The most important thing in any barrel is the smoothness of the bore.

I say it's the CP one piece.

cocker kid, is the Dye Ultralite the same thing as the old Dye Aluminum? www.paintballbarrels.com has them for $49.95.
