evolution, revolution, and halo, which one is better? what one is better to put on a vision imp? A rat imp? And why?

Forget the revy. It can't keep up. The Evo II is really good and can hit 17 bps. The Halo is at least $40 more and hit over 20. I have an Evo II and have no problems keeping up with my Vision on.

Actually, I just got to compare the two. My friend has a Halo B and I have an Evo II. I noticed that my evo feeds a lot more consistent...It just keeps going till all the balls are gone. With the halo, it stopped a lot and maybe a few balls would come out here and there. Then all of a sudden it would just throw up like 30 balls in a second. Kinda weird. My friend said the Halo is only meant to be used ON a gun and you cant see how it actually works off a gun (it isnt as fast) but I really dunno if this is tru. Id go for the Evo cuz its a lot cheaper and VERY close if not faster than the speed of the Halo. PEACE.

Its true. HALO works better on gun because it can maintain spring pressure. It cant when it's just free falling because there is no resistance.

A revy with xboard is fine with my gun and i have a Iframe. Egg would be my choice. Not the best looking design but it works

some ppl just cant shoot fast
egg is good, halo is better (its a better "force feed" - egg is not a perfect "force feed" - but the egg is far cheaper)

it is not, there is no way.... evo feeds 15-17 bps while the halo feeds 20+ (and keeps the balls in "force" - werase the egg is part gravity feed - but its cheaper!)

Yah I agree with the force feed part. All I'm saying is I didnt see the Halo being as consistent with the feed. The one thing to not get is the rico. I used one of those for part of the day and I kept having to shake it cuz the sensor is so ghetto and there is very little slant in the hopper so if your at an angle, the balls might not fall down the tube. I really didnt like that.
I used to have a regular revvy and the first day I got my I-Frame, my vision was stopping me soooo much. I can shoot my I-Frame faster than my friend can shoot his angel and hes shooting that at about 10-11 bps (it says on the little lcd lol). But for most semi markers, the evo II is fine.

I didnt want to make a new thread so ill just ask my question here since its about the halo. I just got mine and was testing it today and it would try to keep loading balls when i wasnt shooting and would make a buzzing type noise and the light would flash red. I was wondering if this is normal. i hope its not b/c the noise is loud enough to give ur position away and to me it doesnt seem like it should be doing what its doing. Any help would be nice thanks.

A revvy with an x-board is works fine only with the stock feed tubes or high-rise twister feeds. But if you put a low-rise feed tube, trust me, revvys can't keep up. Every third or fourth trigger pull misfires cuz there's no ball in the breech and the vision keeps the gun from firing.
I recently bought an Egg. Dude, those thigns are awesome. Fast as all. It stores almost two tubes worth of paint. The bad is that its a little on the heavy side. Kinda loud. Kinda bulky. Once you get used to the way it opens up, it actually ends up being easier to load than the revvy or halos. Also, the feed neck of the Egg is kind big so you'll either need to shave it down to fit or you will need a twister feed. Plus, the other advantage is that Brass Eagle is a huge company and they are at almost every big tournament so if you have any problems, they can fix it or replace it for nominal price.

LoL dude...If you have a fast finger at all, there is no way that ANY revvy (havent tried WAS board) can keep up with a fast finger on a rat or I-Frame or something similar. I dont care if you have two high rises, it will eventually not feed fast enough to keep the gun firing.
I do agree with you on the egg. I think the way you open the hopper is genious and SO easy to fill with pods (rico sucks on that).
Hasta Luego.

Plus, I just love being the only one on the field with an Egg on top of my marker. There's just something cool about that.
well my vote would be halo b and the reason is bps plus warranty the evo and the revy are both B.E. products now and the quality of B.E. is poor plus the service is ... well what service if you are cheap like me go r2k or ak they work great and they ave the best service and a good warranty

gawd why are you bashing on BE they make some high quality stuff. Me and many others think the revy is one of the most reliable hoppers on the market. I would guess about 90% of players use them. Am I right?

hmmm, have you tried the new revys with the bad plastic? your try to turn the hopper and it snaps :eyes: they did somthing right with the evo 2 though, its plastic is a bit stronger, with a feedneck that isnt completly connected to the rest of the hopper, and they made the hopper in, well, in north america this time :eyes:

I have a 12v revvy wit x-board and it cant even think about keeping up wit my Impy and I-Frame... get an egg or a Halo... I am boycotting Revvy's!!!
sorry but i have to disagree. to many of my revys broke and I had to go buy a hole new 1 cuz B.E. won't even sell me single part. Most of our team used them but they all broke down and always at tourny time. now every one is running r2k. Everything breaks sometime but one phone call and 3 4 days later the parts from ricochet there. when i broke my hopper i called them up and they sent me a new shell no questions asked, free of charge.
I was once like you forsakensnake, i have stepped out of the dark side.

Dark Cloud!! OUCH, cocker kid just burned you dude! Anyways, I think the EGG2's are made from the same stuff as the JT lenses so they're tuff. But my vote still says go for the Halo B, I mean 20+, that's pretty amazing and it's true force feed compared to the egg2's grav/force.

the bad thing is about egg is
1. They look horrible unless you haveone, want one, or are a newb
2. If you have one it seems like everyone on the fields goes after you and only you.

i use a 12v Revvy w/x-board & vortex impellor on both my Rat & Strange Vision. it works consistently well. tho, i'm shooting 10-12 bps max. i suspect if u shoot faster than that, u'll need the Egg or Halo 'b'.;)

let me break it down richoet is one of the b est hoppers ive ever used, it will keep up with you gun for sure and it is light unlinke halo or evo2 and has a good sleek design for snap shooting that actually works. the reason no one talks about them is because they are an arizona based company which doesnt get very good distrubution, but i practice against the richoet factory team every other week or so, and we all shoot richoets, there o-rin feed neck really helps for vert feed guns, and now that there plastic is stronger than before there reliable. not to mention u can send ur broken shell in or to your local store and get a new one for free. try doing that with evo2's or halos,
thanks,

i'm sure thats all true. but my only turn off from them is they are UGLY as SIN. i mean halos are sexy as hell! and to load the richocets you have to like put the pod vertically to load it. i don't like that at all. i think the best all around loarder is an old revvy for like mags and cockers, for electros go for a halo. eggs are very tall, but i do like the eggs lid, its a good idea. and the new revvys suck. what do you guys think of the empire add on to revvys?

Oh don't get me wrong. I would def. recommend a Halo or Egg over a Revy just look in my sig, but I don't think revies need to be bashed on. So many people use those things. I used one for a while and never had any problem with it. The only reason I got a Halo B is because I shoot extremely fast and they are sexy ;)
i dont mean to bash but the revys have gotin to be very shoty and unreliable now i will say that i have one from a couple years ago and that one is still going strong on by 98 suprise backup but all the new ones (like the ones @ walmart) break and not just the neck ,gears, motors, shell cracks, and since B.E. took over the customer service is not bad it not even their, its like they have the mentality of the local phone company. the day a was sold on r2k was when i slid into a bunker and broke mine called up rico and told them what i did they just sent me a new one. but for a fast hopper go halo b and alot of AA batterys oh and a back up hopper is not a bad idea

i have a Halo B and a revvy with xboard and j&J impellor(SP)
I love my halo to death but the other day the motor fried in it so i sent it in and halo fixed it and had it back to me in less then 5 days.
I will always have the revvy for a backup to the halo.
Remember if the halo goes down you will have to take it off and put a ball in at a time now what is your speed like 12 balls a min.
I have played with the egg 2 and they are a good hopper but not as fasdt as the halo but much faster then the revvy.
I would play with any of them but i would ***** nore about the revvy because of it being slower
