just out of curriosidy what would it do if u were out of oil and put wd-40 on a bolt

I wouldnt recomend it, just try to borrow oil from somebody you know, or go ONE day without it, if you go just 1 without oil im sure it will be fine.

there are a few signaifacant drawbacks to wd-40

1) it evaporates fairly quickly
2) when it does it leaves a gummy residue.

I wouldn't use it. But it wont really cause any harm. It might make your o-rings degrade a bit faster depending on the materail they are made from but that is not the huge deal ppl make it out to be.

never use wd-40 on any INTERNALS. they eat away the o-rings very fast

Yes cause god forbid you have to pay .10 to get a new o-ring

Also, WD-40 is probably way too viscous to be a good paintball gun oil. You want an oil of a viscosity index of at least 300+.
