It all depends on personal preference. There is no correct answer.

Well if you like too tinker with a marker get the cocker. But I know some with them and dont mess around too much with them after they get the timing right.Auto mag is a good marker, get a x chamber or a palmer stabilizer for it if your going CO2.But theres not much too the set velocity.Turn it and set it and leave it be.But it depends on who and what you want.If you try a cocker get one where the timing is right too know how it really feels.Auto mag just point and shoot.Get a good barrel for a auto mag and it rocks.but barrels goes about for any marker that you buy.

Maybe its just my personal preference but I LOVE the Automag RT. Ya its kinda expensive for a semi-auto gun stock but it shoots amazing...

I like the cocker better. by the way since this is in the "New Paintballers" forum, are you a newbie???? (whoever started this thread?) If you are i suggest you don't get a mag or a cocker as your first marker.

I have a lot of experience with all 3 of these guns.

An Automag with Powerfeed is virtually identical to a Minimag. The Minimag is a waste of money compared to the PF AutoMag. I have owned both of them.

As much as it pains me to say this (I am a long time Mag user), the AutoCocker is the best gun out of the three. There's no if's and's or but's about it; even if you consider personal preference.

In past years, the Autococker sucked. Plain and simple. However, the 2000 and 2001 model are exceptionally well made. They are no longer prone to breaking down. They shoot better stock than any other semi on the planet. They run well on CO2, unlike the Mags. You don't even have to upgrade them! Personally, I'd put a new barrel, and a new bolt and regulator on it, but you really don't need any of them. The stock barrel on the AutoCocker shoots as well as my tricked MiniMag!

Basically, AutoCockers have improved so much that they have no real competition any more. You'll notice that there are a LOT more cockers than Mags out there among tourney players.

Another big reason the Cockers are better is the price. You can get a cocker for $325. And you don't even need to upgrade it! A powerfeed Mag costs $380, and then you need to either run nitro, or get an expansion chamber, anti-syphon tank, replace the barrel, etc.

Sorry to say it, but the Cocker is now superior.

Actually you can run Co2 on Mag.. but I wouldn't... I think Mags have about 6-8 freaken o rings inside the gun where the co2 passes through... If Liquid gets in there.. bam see ya later! (Get a Palmer Stabilizer regulator if you run co2 on mag)
