custom signatures...how to?

I was wondering how some of you guys have colored writing in your sigs, and ho you get images...also, some of you guys have sigs that when written out are longer than mine...mine is just really short and stubby...it wont let me pot more that 8 lines or something...also, how do you get a pic small enough to fit an avatar?...keep in mind, I am not a comp person...I want to know how to make my writing in my sig the color of my gun(dark green)

Look up ^. See all those buttons and stuff? They create vB tags which you can use for your posts. For the most part, they also work in your sig line. As you put your mouse over them, the box between the buttons and this box shows what they do. From there, just type out the sig how you want it and click "Preview Reply". Whenever it looks satisfactory, highlight everything in this box and then press Ctrl-C (or edit:copy or some mac thing...) Then, go to your sig and paste it. (Ctrl-V)

At least that's the easy way to do/learn it. :P
