I don't Know about you guys but i'm tired of hearing all these people shooting animals, other people, building, etc. Every time i turn around i hear that more and more cities are trying to ban paintball. I WONDER WHY! With all these punks going around breaking the law is driving me nuts. I really wish that those people would stop making paintball look so bad. What's your opinion.

The easiest way to eliminate this would be to take the paintball markers out of walmarts, kmarts, sports authorities etc.
But that would hurt the growth of the sport.
You decide.

this is one of the reasons why it is so hard to promote the sport and start clubs in school and stuff, because of course all the teachers listen to about things like this is all this stuff about vanadalism and it really pisses me off too

just in the past weeks everyday in the local small town paper of ours they talk of vandalism by paintball gun. Well everyone knows that i am a avid player and i get some odd looks around town....but i feel it is probabaly the blades, tiger shark, type guns that are doing it.....ppl that spend money on there equiptment most likely take some pride in it i hope.

Where did you get my class picture at???
hehehehe
I do have to agree with everyone here. we all hate to hear about it when something happens that hurts the image of paintball. But some of the stuff that happens is brought upon us by ourselves. I am not talking about the shooting of animals ( i really don't see whats wrong with shooting non-domesticated animals. If i were a dear i would rather get shot by twenty paintball than ine real bullet), non-players, and bulidings. But what i am referring to is the attitude of the players in the sport. When a player gets shot out and just goes off on the reffing staff or a certian ref. Swearing throwing his gear and ect. it is completely unacceptable to do that or allow that behavior espicially from those we call pros and kinda look up to. I have played many sports in my short life of 17 years. Right now i play soccer for my high school during the fall season. If i ever went off on a refere like i have witnessed and heard several professional players doing not only would i never play agian i would probably get my but kicked by my coaches and fellow players. I do really like what i have been hearing about the new X-ball format with the penalties like in hockey and soccer. But i say that we all need to take a more active role in are fellow team mates attitudes.

I rather be shot by a paintball gun, then a real gun.
But for reals, the fact is not what happens, but how it is perceived. Many of these things are taken out of context. Why? Because someone is always looking for the next thing to blame problems on, the next thing to complain about. Thats why no matter what we do, they are hunting for us to slip up, to blame something on us.
Thats why we must minimize these events, in the hope that they'll just stop caring, they'll accept us as a mainstream (hopefully) and popular sport. Skateboarding, at one time, was considered to be almost illegal, due to property damage, and the media showing gruesome images of injuries. Now, as it has gone mainstream, we bearly ever heard anyone criticizing skateboarding. (This may be different in other places besides the Los Angeles/Riverside/Orange County area of California)

Oh your deffinatly going to jail, it woudl take a whole cup of water to get rid of the mark on the building.
But guys, seriously, people do stupid stuff all the time, its just how its going to be, no matter how long the sport of paintball is around, people will be shooting at things that we all know they shouldnt be shooting at. Hopefully people will realize that they are just being morons, and im sure others just dont give a **** about what their doing. Thats why people use spraypaint to write grafitti(sp?) on walls and such, just to destroy other peoples propterty, if thats how you get your kicks, fine but we all know you are going to have to pay the consequences.

there's not enough punks in this world going around vandalizing property. I definately support the vandals.

Oh boy, another one of these threads. I don't think anyone here (to requote from an earrlier post) agrees with these actions. But the truth is, it doesn't really affec tthe sport. Every time something like this happens, we all run and yell "The sky is falling! The sky is falling!"...and another week it fades into oblivion and everything is the same as before. I mean, heck, you don't see spray paint being banned now do you?

but that's not the point, Ebon, it's like everytime some wannabe screws up some graffiti in a public place, it gives a bad name to all the other gangbangers who know how to spray paint grafitti ...
i know i spelled graffitti right at least once in this post!

 Professional grafitti sprayers work hard to make an honest living and then some punk ruins it...

I too am fed up with all the bad publicity paintball is getting. Today we were let out of school early so we are all outside have a grand time and a jkid comes out with a stingray and starts shooting at this guy that has no mask, so I act quickly and grand him around his neck, take his gun, and empty the rest of paint into the sewer.nIt is just that people need to stop actring so retarded and think about what they are doing. I know for sure that if I ever saw anyone using a paintball gun in that manner to do that sort of thing I would either report them to the authorities for public endangerment and vandalism, or get the gun and waste the paint in a sewer or other safe place where no one would get hit. Man, now i am all worked up thinking about how people constantly ruin the image of paintball piece by piece:bawling:.
