whats a cradle for?

ok so i know what a drop forward is but whats a cradle?? can i screw my tank directly into the cradle or do i need exta parts?? see im gonna get a pmi pure energy reg and i don't know what hose setup to use and i was wondering if i could use a cradle.

most of the times, a cradle is a dropforward for Nitro systems that need special mounting, like the Raptor, Armagheddon, and Apoccalypse. just get a drop forward, get a bottom line adapter, and a SS hose or macro line. Don't get micro, it restricts gas flow too much.
