Im thinking of a getting a tippmann A-5.....some people say they use a lot of C02...but i also heard they can shoot up 15 bps with the cyclone feed....is any of that true? My friend said the cyclone feed uses the c02 to power it...

Thx

You can really only shoot that fast if you have the R/T.

Ok... A-5's dont use alot of gas... the feed system works on the access air from each shot, so actually the cyclone feed system increases the markers gas efficiency. A-5's can shoot really fast, but it is hard to pull 15 times in a second, thats y many players use a r/t or the e-grip for high rates of fire, and since the a-5 pre-chambers paint, it can easily shoot past the 15 bps mark (especally with the e-grip)

well i have an A-5 myself...i wouldn't recommend getting a reg if you get the response though, cause it can dry out the reg of all air before you can get more air in...my best thingto say for the R/T is to get nitro or somthin...but yes it is quite the gas hog cause everything on this gun runs off of air!

setup:
A-5
R/T
12" CP one piece
CP flames drop forward
CP on/off valve

soon to come:
CAR stock
double trigger
ADCO hot shot sight

The A-5 Is not a GAS HOG!

It's just like when people thought that just becouse you had a r/t kit on your M98c that your useing more gas, and thats a joke, we all know that the r/t kit dosnt take any more gas then what a stock gun does, and it's the same with the cyclone feeding system, it operates on the left over gas from a shot... OMG! that means that it's not consumeing extra gas to operate? what is so hard to understand about that? do any of you people who think it's a gas hog actually know how much extra gas there is just to get a paintball to the right pressure? There is no way any gun on the market can be 100% gas efficient, hell i'd settle for 50% but most markers are far below even 50% gas efficient, and the more things you add that run off the extra gas the more efficient your marker becomes on gas. kind of a backwords idea from a noob's point of view isn't it?

So please dont' go advertiseing that the a-5 is so terrorably gas inefficant and that it goes through it like nothing, becouse thats not true at all. Yes the Feed sysetm runs off of air, But it dosnt suck more air from your tank to operate it. It runs on the access air after each shot, just like the r/t system does. Do a little homework about the gun, and you'll learn how it actually works.
