I thought the side to side play would be bad but when I went out with my BKO, I could actually rip with the trigger. It may feel bad when you're just messing around with the gun but when you're actually playing, you don't even feel it. But I heard all the new BKO's with the 2k3 frame has little side to side and is more comfortable. I think you'll be happy with a BKO.

Yea you can fix it, i took two pieces of construction paper (or a thick paper and wedged it between the trigger and the frame. This got rid of all my slop.

also...

that is a factory standard option.. the side to side play

however, if u call icd and order a bko directly, you could ask them for a non-side to side sliding trigger

JTramo hit the nail dead on. the side slop was decided by ICD to be "kewl" it allows you to setup a "mouse click" trigger feel and side tap it to make shots faster.

even the STOCK 2k3 frame has this... BUT all frames from ICD have a NON slop option.. call ICD to order the gun that way.

Hope you get a bko, i used to have a bd too. It feels really wierd at first but once you get used to it, its way better than a bd!

No you tell them the price you have, they usually match it.
