I have a Question About my tippy i have a 14 inch lapco big shot barrell and a 20 oz pure energy co2 tank when i shoot with my stock barrell its fine but when i go larger in the barrell size it seems as if frozen water or Co2 comes out after the ball does that have any affect on the performance it seems when that happens it usually does it after you shoot 5 or more times would a low pressure chamber solve that or is it not all that much of a biggy to worry about.

Thanx guys

1) the're called periods. use them
2) try looking at antisyphon or an expansion chamber

Is an expansion chamber worth it? are they hard to install or fairly easy for the model 98 custom. would you reccoumend one? If so what type? and would you get a Kit?

yes, id recomend a expansion chamber, look at the ulimate upgrades thread to see the different types. then look them up here at pbreview to see how they faired. that depends, they are fairly easy to get in cept for that pesky vert adapter.
Low Pressure Kit? only unless you plan on shelling out the money for the air bottles

Don't get an expansion chamber. For an extra $20, you could get a low level regualator (for about $50 total), and it would work at least 10x better than an x chamber.

But definately get an anti-syphon or a remote at some point if you do not switch to HPA.

Liquid Co2 isn't a problem. If you get an anti-siphon tube installed in your tank, have your pro shop do it. I've never installed an x-chamber on any 98, but I have heard it is pretty simple. There are x-chamber kits you can buy that come with everything you need. If you don't get one of those, just remember to get the vertical adapter, or you will pretty much be screwed.

or go the extra mile and get a palmer

You can. Some regs just like Co2 more than others :) Like the stabilizer. Or the max flo. Or the torpedo.

Would a low level Regulator Save Co2? Why is it recoumended over the Expansion chamber? does it make the rate of fire more constant? and what are some good sites to find them cheap?

Thanx guys

Ok, so a stabiliser is 10x better than an x-chamber but...
you're not saying an x-chamber isn't any good (are you?).

Just wondering seeing as my x-chamber will be on it's way to me shortly :pissed:

Yeah an x-chamber will work fine. We are just saying that regs work even better than x-chambers.

what i was saying is for an extra $10 you could get something that will work a bajillion times better than any expansion chamber... and thus x-chambers are crap...

regs, namely that particular one, the PMI reg are not always that good for co2, the PMI reg is especially bad because of the orings that dont especially seem to fit right. i would say if you can get an x chamber for $20, do it then get a stab later.
