How do YOU pay for all of your PB equipment?

I have always wondered how people pay for their paintball stuff. So I made this thread to find out!

I get an allowance of $40 a month right now, and at this rate, it will take me approx. 11.25 months to reach my goal of owning just a Spyder E-99! (with lots of stuff too) but to support my paintball habit, plus my other habits, I have one job now working at a self-storage place that one of my Mom's friends owns, and I am going to work at the local tutoring place, Kumon Math & Reading Centers of America, during the summer and up through highschool. The Kumon instructor pays $6 an hour and she said you usually work for 8-10 hours a week. So about $50-60 a week coming from that, plus $40 a month from my allowance, plus how ever much I get from the storage place (paid by how much I do not hours I'm there) a month comes to an estimated total of about $185 a month if I'm lucky. Since that's not even enough for two weekends of PB since I shoot a lot, I need at least $200 for two DAYS of PB much less car money, etc. etc. etc.

in the summer i have a job and make madd cash for someone my age. i'm paid under the table with no taxes and make roughly $100 a week with 25 hours of working. other than that it's all christmas, birthday, and lunch money. i don't get allowance :(

last summer i made even "madder" cash. $70-100 for 3-4 hours work. I scrapped out sheetrock at construction sites. That was great, but cant do it during skool.

yeah but ya know, you're 3 years older than me. it's easier for you to get a job than someone who would get whoever they worked for in trobule due to child labor laws.

I work week days during the summer, saturdays during the school year... I spent about 500 bucks total on paintball stuff already. Not including paintballs. Man it really is an expensive sport. Damn. :(

yeah its good to be old, more jobs out there. And Crash, i envy you, i added up what ive spent on paintball, and... lets just say it could probably pay for a year of college. Seriously, thats without all the paint ive gotten. But at least im selling all my old stuff to recoup my losses.

During the summer I have a job. I make somewhere around $250 a week, but I made somewhere around $2,500 during the whole summer. A lot of that spent on paintballing. Soon as I can drive my sorry self around I'll get an after school job...mmmm, money.

I work at petsmart and make $120.00 to $185.00 per week.

But really, I know how you feel, before I had a job, I got $15 a week for allowance. so if I wanted something new, I had to sell stuff (no not drugs! like, items, and such) It kinda sucks.
Oh yeah, then you have your b-day and christmas every year. that helps.

But for someone in your shoes, when allowance isn't enuff, and you have noting else to sell, try mowing some lawns or something. or extra stuff like that. O yeah, there's a community college by my high school, and freshman year, two of my freinds went over there, and they have an orthodontic department, and they went there, signed some waiver thing, and student orthodontists cleaned their teeth, and they each got $50.00. I keep frogetting to do that =(

i work at Modells Sporting Goods. i make between the same amount of money as you per week.

but how do i pay for all my stuff? duh, thats an easy one. since i only buy online, i pay for all of it with a credit card!

I only play on days when the field I go to has $5 specials...field fee is $5, and it's always BYOP..I usually only shoot 6-800 rounds a day, so I split a case with my friend...so a day of paintball will cost about $30...and for now, I'm content with the 98c I bought from a friend.

I pay for paintball by picking up live ducks by the wings and hurling them into the air, to get shot down by gunners, and then a dog proceeds to pick it up and take it to some crazy owner with a whistle

I'm a DOD(Department Of Defense) Civilain Employee working for the Alaska Army National Guard as a UH-60L Black Hawk mechanic. I make a disgusting amount of money to afford not only paintball but rent, truck payment, wife, foster daughter, other bills, and other "toys"(guns, 4-wheeler, etc). I am also an E5 in the Guard, doing the same job but getting paid by a different budget.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that I am a partner in a paintball supply business:D

guess i am in the same boat as you head hunter i am in the air force, i am a airborne warning and control systems tech (in short i fix the radar system on the E-3 AWACS). i'm an E-4 living off base so i usually get about 1k every 2 weeks and out of that i am usually able to pocket about half that after bills, but some months are better then others. i've had the funds to build 2 cockers from the ground up in the last 3 months. it's really sad i built the second one cause i did not like the color of the first one.:crazy:

i get 100 bucks allowance per month....only problem is that i live on that here at boarding school.....food is disgusting....the chicken is a slab of rubber....anyways...i usually end up paying for my paint when i go, and ask my mom if she will pay for field fee....only problem is that i got an imp for x-mas, and i need to pay part of it off :(

this summer though (hopefully) i will be a ref, like that i can make 60 bux a week, plus tips if i am reffing for a private group :)

ditto, and I won't make anyone feel bad by posting how much i make a week ... the important thing is that you work for what you get, that way no one can ever say you're getting a free ride or that your parents are paying your way. Our team: if you can't pay your way, you can't join.

:nod: You nailed it KK! 40 hour week then overtime. The 40 hours pays the bills and the OT gets me gear!! So what ever I want to buy determines the hours of overtime.

I work at Dominos, but it sucks. I get super sh1++y hours, like most days d uring the week from 5:30-7:30 and then on friday from 5:30-8:30(but i dont get off till 11 most of the time) saturday 4:30-7:45 (also dont get off till damn near 11) and sunday like 3:30-8:30. We get paid every 2 weeks and I work every damn day but only manage to pull about 140 per check. It sucks massive ball sack. Because not only do I not get paid worth a crap, the hours they ususally schedule me are just right so as to ruin my plans for the whole day. But some days I "get sick" and manage to go play some PB.
