You dont waste any Co2 when uscrewing your Tank...Thats just the remaining Co2 in the gun pouring out...To prevent this, learn where the Co2 starts to come out while unscrewing your tank...Right before you hit that part, shoot your gun a couple of times and it'll make this weird noise like there wasnt that much Co2 in that shot...Then your Cocker shouldnt cock back and you can uscrew the rest of your tank and it the Co2 wont "hiss" out like that...Hope this helped...

this works better... unscrew it slowly...and as soon as it starts to hiss out... fire it...it won't recock... and your done...

Yeah, either way, you'll have like 3 lost shots... even if you have an on/off. Because before the tank o-ring stops completing the seal, the pin is "undepressed," so the tank is sealed. Then you screw it out some more, and the tank is backed away far enough that the o-ring does not complete the seal, so air will hiss out of your gun. No matter, what, you'll lose shots. ;) Get over it!

Did anyone ever unscrew an On/Off tank when it was still turned on?

Haha, my friend didn't quite turn off his tank, and his full 20oz was venting so quick that it froze the knob, so he couldn't stop it. The whole thing drained, then he had to wait a bit, THEN close it. :( too bad for him.

I saw someone unscrew their tank with it still on and the tank froze and was completely covered in ice. LOL.
