Should I buy a new gun and get an autococker or automag, or should I just stick with my Tippmann 98C and go electro?

I would get a cocker or mag. No matter how far you upgrade the Tippmann, it will remain a Tippman. If you got a cocker, you can continue to upgrade forever. Also, a stock cocker or mag, will probably out perform a Tippmann with an electric grip.

it's true, but the cocker vs mag thing you'll have to do by yourself, cause everyone is differant, cockers are good rythem guns, wil mags are great snap shooters. I have a good mag for sale though, let me get the URL

the m98 electro conversion is real nice. pnuematic hammer, bursts and semi (i think). it seems like it would make it just as good as something like a bushy.

they arent electro grip frames like other guns
but anyway heres my 2 cents
if you have an electro kit on a 98 you will have alighter trigger than a cocker or a mag

I doubt I'll get the electro for my Tippmann (I don't have the budget to shoot that much). But if I were to get another gun instead of going nitro with lp conversion kit or electro for my Tippmann, why would I want a cocker or mag? What adavantages (stupid question, I know) does it have over my gun??? I know the cocker is actually a pnuematically operated pump, it's more accurate, etc. What are the specifics? If it makes any difference... I'll probly be running nitro.

It really depends on your personal prefrence. The cocker has a gazillion upgrades (slight hyperbole), while the mag has a smaller profile and is quite a bit lighter. They are each accurate and can each be tricked to have a good rate of fire. It really depends on personal prefrence. When at the field, ask people if you can try out their guns. Remember, you're not just looking at performance, but also how well it 'fits' you and your playing style. For smaller people the mag can be more comfortable. I personally like messing with my gun a lot, so I got a cocker. (Not to mention, carrying the mag made me think of the 'noisy cricket' in MIB... "I feel like I'm gonna break this damn thing!")
Anyway, that's my advice. If those are the two you're interested in, ask some players to try theirs. If you can, try both stock and fully upgraded, to see where the gun will start, and how far you can bring it up.

I have a pro cocker, an sto cocker and a tippmann 98 that I just put the PB Electro kit in. You can't beat a cocker for it's accuracy and low ball breakage. On the other hand, I played our last tourney with my electro 98 and had a blast. There is something to be said for being able to throw paint with an electro. If your only going to have 1 gun, get a cacker. If you want an extra toy, go electro. It breathed ne life into my 98 sitting in the closet.
