Vision not reading orange paint.

i was shooting my gun today and after a few shots my vision would not read my paint, its a bright all around orange shelled paint. Why is my vision not reading the paint? I cleaned out the eye the best i could and still, the eye does not see the paint. Whats wrong? anyone kno? heeeeeeelppp

is it cricket vision? that could be the problem. cricket vision only reads like 55% of all paints.

ya cricket vision is pretty f'ed up. try using red shelled paint or some blue shelled.

Is there any way i can adjust my vision? i tried downloading the manual off the Smart parts site but my computer is too old and it wont work when i try to open it.

What kinda paint should i use thats red shelled or blue?
im not so sure of wat kind of paint to use nowadays..used to use draxxus alot but i keep gettin bad batches so f*** that.

I keep having problems after problems with my impulse. vision not working, horrible chopping problem and today i think my cupseal broke..theres a constant leak outta the frame. would it be a good idea to send my gun to Smart parts to have them check on everything?

ya send it into smartparts their factory and customer service techs are more seasoned than i am. Our field has some red and blue shelled paint i forget what it is though cause i was using Diablo Nightmare sat.

1) is the shell clear? therefore - the fill anctually makes the color of the shell - then you might have some problems!

2) Sometimes the Eye strip will go bad! (90% of the time that is the problem) Just get a new strip -put that in and then try shooting your gun! If you have to borow a friends or teamates and see if that is it! If it works with the new eye.....bingo!

WE have replaced dozens of eye strips not including our own team guns!

The cricket will see just about every kind and color of paint! Unless it is black or has the above clear shell!

i've only had problems with the eye with black & high gloss shells (like Viper TC paintballs). it couldnt read high gloss orange,green or pink. but when i use my PMI Premium which is a dull or matte finish, never breaks at all.

what kind of paint do you guys recommend i use? and what color would work best with my vision?

no more draxxus paint for me.:mad: i kno there are alotta types of paint that are good but im not so sure of which to pick :confused:

oh ya i think im gonna send my gun to sp..gotta get it tuned up..vision not working...cupseal (i think) is broken...chopping problem...:pissed: :pissed: :pissed:

well, if they are breech breaks & not barrel breaks, its more likely the eye. whether or not its due to a defective eye or the paint texture/color is hard to say.

firstly, make sure your operating pressure is around 180, not higher. make sure ur dwell is set right. and, if u have an LPR make sure its not to high either. if u believe all of that is set up properly, then simply try PMI premium. also, make sure the eye in the Halo b is working. u can try someone elses hopper to test if theirs creates or corrects the problem on ur gun.

i all ways shot Rps through my vision, never had a problem, and never a chop. I used the nice marbs and slams.

try cleaning the eye.take the eye cover off and take the eye out and clean the eye real good. my imp was having probs with reading paint so i cleaned the eye and it has been working fine since then.

Hey guys......RPS premium and big ball ROCKS! But personally I have shot just about everything out there.
I have only had problems 3X.......with my halob - I tried 2 different paints both broke like crazy...then used a revy and never broke...went back to the halo and chop pea soup!!

2- When my eye went bad!!

the other time was with a clear shell and orange fill!


I can tell you this.......I'm sure I have shot 100,000 + shots with my impy!!

i did clean out the eye really well and it still does not work.

and 69 im really thinking about gettin the egg2..but but...it looks oogaly and my perty blue halo matches wit my gun..ahh i hate decisions like this..

wheres the cheapest place to buy the egg2 anyways?

The only ones I have seen were a max of 17bps and this was in a drop test.

I just ran green shelled paint through my vision and it still does not work.
oh and the orange shelled paint..the shell is orange and not clear...its an orange shell pink fill kind of paint.
the eye is also clean, yet it doesnt work.
what could be my problems now? bad strip? bad board?

has anyone adjusted ur trigger lately? a poorly adjusted trigger will shut the eye off.

i adjusted my trigger, how would this effect the eye?

i had an eclipse magono blade trigger put in recently & obviously it was not done properly. everytime i put the vision eye on & shot, it would turn the vision eye off. i'm not sure why that happened but i sent it back to the shop & they re-did the trigger job & admitted it wasn't done properly & the eye worked perfectly after that.

when u say that ur vision eye turned off, did it keep beeping as you shot or did it just go into non-vision mode?

its not the battery..its not the paint...

why is my vision not reading my paint? only thing i can think of right now is that the strip/board could be bad...wat else could be wrong?

try using 32* team colors they work great with mine
pmi premium or big ball
thats the paint thats at my feild and at team practices and tourneys in my area

It ain't the paint bro. It's your hopper, Cricket Vision detects a ball dropping in after there is a gap in the balls. The Halo B with it's constant pressure on the stack doesn't leave a gap like other hoppers do and that causes your vision to think that a ball never dropped in.You can change paint all you want but it won't help. Talk to Smart Parts they may be able to reprogram your board for you to take out any delay.
