which is a better nitro tank for the bko, a high output or a low output?

the bko only needs around 250 psi to run.... hp output tanks are 800-850, lp's are 400-450.... all that extra air is really just a extra strain on the reg and nothign else... i say hey a lp output tank... thats what i got

well... not to scare u... but the first batch or two of bko's did have problem with hp output tanks... other than that, it wont do too much difference dont worry.

It has nothing to do with the HP tanks itself.

The first batch of BKOs had a problem with the HPR not being able to accept the High Input pressure from the HP tanks.

The HPR has since been beefed up and there should be no problem in running a HP tank on the BKO.

yeh.. isnt that what i said? o well...

but my theory.....
if u set in 800psi into a reg that pushes it into 200 psi u create a 600 psi drop 800>250... lp on the other hand 400>250, creats a difference of only round 250...

and because the reg is doign so much less work, during rapid fire it will be more consistent, and theres much less chance of those ever-so fun gauge breaking spikes. plus... long term, its definately gonna b Easier on the reg, whether the reg can take it or not.

thats my take....

The plus side of getting a high pressure remember is that if u get a new gun that is high pressure u dont have to get a new hp tank whereas if u get a low pressure u do.

Just my 2 cents

that is a point... but... im guesing that you can convert the tank regs if u give them to an airsmith relatively cheap....

The BKO has never had a problem with High pressure. The users who had the markers didn't now how to set the marker up properly. These people helped us find the optimal operating instructions.

Don't get a 400psi tank. You need at least 200psi more going into the reg than what the reg puts into the gun or you will experience shoot down.

Sure, the reg is more prone to malfuncting when you are runing the extra pressure though it but it's not that big a deal. The reg should still last for years. You can buy rebuild kits for $20 for most regs.
