I know I'm probably going to make a lot of people mad with this post but oh well. I personally do use abbreviations when I type to my friends or in non-formal occasions and I have noticed myself saying u instead of you on these forums but I think everyone should just take an extra half-second to write out the names of the equipment they are talking about. I see timmy, tippy, maxy, sp, revvys and eggos, and eggys. I realize that things have nicknames but when there is like 5 things being discussed in one sentence it gets confusing. Recently I saw darkie when someone was referring to a Dark Angel. That is actually 2 EXTRA letters. It seems to be that everything needs to have an ie or y on the end. Thanks

rock 'n roll

Oh and if anyone has seen some more odd abbreviations, post them on this thread. Im curious.

Maybe someone should make a sticky about abbreviations? Like which abbreviations mean what. Would be helpful for people new to these forums

its short hand y should we type it out if u no whats it means? if u dont its pretty easy to pickup. when u take notes in class u usually write in short hand so u dont fall behind

i realize that but when people are typing in public i just think that we should take the slighlty longer route and write things out. but a sticky on abbreviations would be nice. someone suggested that but im too lazy to look who.

king man whats your problem he has a vaild point. when you type as fast as i do i end up typing abreviations by accident because i end up smashing all the keys at once and get 3 letters or so and end up with an abreviation that people can figure out lol

ASA: The abbreviation for Air Source Adapter. See "ASA Adapter".
ASA ADAPTER: Also referred to as: CA Adapter. A device that is designed to allow a constant air tank to screw into it and let the Co2 gas in the tank pass through it. In most cases the ASA Adapter is designed with a actuating pin. When used with a constant air tank that has a pin valve, the ASA Adapter pin actuator presses in the pin valve's pin and allows the flow of Co2 gas from the tank into and through the ASA Adapter. The gas then goes to the paintguns valve mechanism either directly or indirectly via some type of gas line.

X-Brolly thats what ASA means

Co2

c = carbon di = 2 oxide = oxgen

co2 = 1 carbon 2 oxygens, in a nonpolar mixture, that is the soulvant for most other compunds.
