View Full Version : BSA Optics laser sight
Do you know if the laser sight at http://www.bsaoptics.com/laser.html will fit on the sight rails that many paintguns include (like Spyders)?

If it has a standard 3/4 dovtail mount it will fit on your gun.
Why do you wanna put a laser sight on your gun?
Does your field even allow them?

most fields don't allow projected laser sights, they only allow ones like the ADCO ones, i don't recommend getting one like the one you are takling about here....it can burn out someones retina with ease..

And laser sight will just show the person you are aiming at exactly where you are.

I don't think the BSA mount would fit spyder sight rail.
I have a red dot (BSA RD42). I got ta add a piece of sheet metal on top of the spyder rail to fit it..
Just buy ADCO, unless you got BSA for free or as a gift..

Don't get projected lasers. They piss off a lot of people. It can damage an eye really easily, like the retna.
well, my feild allows them, and it doesnt really matter if you can see the beam...the fields are so small here that you can see the base of the other team when you start off

If that is the case, why do you want a sight at all?

while we're on topic of sites...I am getting a TL+ and wondering, if I can't site down the gun (through powerfeed), will a scope work? does it hang off side or what?
I would like to have an inexpensive scope (any suggestions/links would be appreciated), but want to be sure I can actually use it.
you could get a red dot sight that you se with both eyes open. that way you can see "through" the feed

I gues I don't understand, now can the site see through the hopper?
No,no..you use the sight with both eyes open...one eye on the target and the other on the sight, allowing you to "see" the dot on the target. Hold your right index finger in front of your right eye and keep the other eye open. You can "see" through you finger...unless you only have 1 eye...wear your goggles guys! lol

still, where does the site mount? In the center of the gun? pointing right at the hopper? or off to the side?

i found that scopes, laser sights, and that crap doesnt really do anything good for paintball. the best thing to do is sight down the side of ur gun.
It mounts behind the hopper on the top of the gun.

so it will see over the elbow? I think the adco hotshot is the one I want, and I saw a post on a review site where someone said they got one to work on a shutter with minimal compromise.
I guess it'll look over the Shutter elbow if the guy says it will...I don't have a Shutter. But you can use the Hot Shot with 2 eyes open if it doesnt. It looks just about the same when you do it.

For accuracy...If I'm shooting at someone 15 yards away, with a barrel shooting with 2 inch groupings, with a laser sight zeroed in using almost a case of paint on differend days & weather conditions, there's no excuse for you to miss. All the n00bs can say I have no skill with the gun I have when I miss THEN.
